I was just laying down about to sleep when I heard my two male cats fighting and the younger one crying alot. They fought and I came out in my living room to discover a good amount of thick red blood on the floor with blood footprints all over the house. I looked at both cats and saw no wounds. I dont know if the cat swallowed something but i am scared. I felt like I was cleaning a crime scene, please help!

Are the blood footprints 'cat prints'? They probably fought, and one is injured. Take both to your vet. Just because you can't find the wound, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. The blood is proof that an injury occured. Take a picture of the blood so the vet can see how much blood was actually lost. It will give more credence to your concern. Puncture wounds are hard to discover, especially in fur. They also infect easily. The copious blood is actually better with punture wounds, less chance that it will be badly infected since it did bleed a lot. Go to vet. both cats will probably go on antibiotics if the wound is not found.

Cats fight with their back feet. Clean both cats feet and see if either one possibly is missing a claw or more.
If it is only bloody paw prints, I would bet one or both have injured paws.
The only other thing I can think of from there being so much blood, is that your cats captured another animal and if you keep looking you may find it injured or probably dead.
The cats may have been fighting over what ever it is that made all that blood.
Check your cats over real good for injuries you may have not noticed.
If you don't discover any other animal in the house, it would be a good idea to take them to the vet ASAP!
It could be an internal injury which will be fatal if not treated by a vet.

This is very weird...I kept on finding blood on my bathroom sink and some was on my walls there is me, one other person(the blood for sure wasn't from us), and two cats. I never figured out where it came from or how it happened I just assumed it was the cats. Now that I seen your question I know that the blood in my house was from my cats yet they were never injured or had blood on their fur I really want to know what this could be. Someone help!

Check each cat for sore spots on their body. Check their butt ends, check the bottoms of their feet. Also check their ears, there's a vein that runs around the outer edge that if it's nicked it'll bleed like crazy. Check their mouths and nose too. If you don't see anything matted in or red, and the cats aren't sore anywhere, I don't know what to tell you unless they caught a rat or mouse and ended up eating the evidence.

Are you sure no cat was bleeding? If there is blood there is probally an open wound did you see if they still have all their claws (if not declawed) this sounds gross but did you check their rear ends?

Are you positive they are two MALE cats? Maybe one is in heat? Blood from heat is rare, but possible.

they probably caught and killed something, and then fought over it. look for a carcass of another dead animal.
