It's kind of insane in my opinion. It makes no sense . Jesus was praying to himself on the cross? Its ludicrous. Jesus is our brother and God is our father. God becoming a man? Where in all of creation do we witness a retrogression of any of God's creations? Does a butterfly become a caterpillar? Does an oak tree become an acorn? No.

Well first of all God is EVERYWHERE...So He is not just in two places at once but many places at once. If you don't understand the Trinity then you won't understand why God can be in more places than one. God can manifest into three forms, His true spirit form, He is Jesus in human form, and the Holy Ghost which can be said to be everywhere and within our own souls. And yes God is Jesus so I guess you could say He sent Himself down. Jesus is referred to as God's Word and the Word became human and lived among us. Noone has ever seen God, but God the only Son is very close to the Father, and He has shown us what God is like...

Because the Christian Bible does not thoroughly explain it, I, unfortunately, cannot accurately answer this question. If anyone were to say otherwise it would be pure conjecture. Like predicting the end to a Harry Potter book before it's been written, if you're not the author it's impossible.
Though it does touch briefly on omnipresence, it doesn't explain this with relevance to the trinity.
They are not the same unless there share all qualities with no differences. But clearly, there are differences. One is referenced as "God", one "Jesus", and one the "Holy Spirit". And it's not just their monikers which differ but also their locations and actions, obviously. An unfathomable amount of differences. Jesus resided on earth for a period and did many things that "the father" did not. We are aware of the differences, but the question that remains to me is...how are they the same? They must have at least one single(yet meaningful) thing in common and yet I am unaware of it, always and forever.

All things are possible for God. (Mark 10:27)
The doctrine of the Holy Trinity states there is one true God who is made up of three separate but equal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The doctrine of the Holy Trinity is shared by most Christian denominations including Roman and Orthodox Catholics, Lutherans, Anglicans, Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals and Episcopalians.
How this works is not fully known and is one the Christian mysteries.
There is a story told about St Augustine:
Augustine was walking along the seashore trying to figure out the mystery of the Holy Trinity and came up to a little boy. The boy was trying to pour the ocean into a hole in the sand with a seashell. Augustine told the boy what he was doing was impossible. Then the little boy told Augustine that it is also impossible for the mind of man to try to understand the mystery of the Holy Trinity. The little boy turned into an angel and disappeared.

Yes, effectively God the Father sent God the Son. As for how He could be in two places at once...
The trinity is a difficult thing to grasp, but here's something that is easier.
God is composed of 3 "individuals" that are actually one and the same. God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit.
Most people would be like "huh? 3 people in one?" but another way to look at it is think of dimensions. You have an X axis, Y axis, and Z axis. They're all the same thing and yet 3 different parts of that same thing. It's the same thing with God. 3 parts of the same God, yet individual.

In our church, the priests who meditate on the trinity often try to explain the trinity to us as:
The Father pours out his love to the son
The son pours out himself to give love back to the Father
The holy spirit is the love that flows between them
Therefore God needs to be split so that there can be a flow of love.
This process of the flow of love IS God and is happening all the time. Jesus was always here and always part of the trinity. He only became human in form for a short time. But he is still physiclaly present through the church so that we can be part of the proces as well through him as we are the body of christ.
Very beautiful I think, and worth reflecting on.

Yes. God is One in three persons, Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and yet One. In the same way that you and I are Mind, body, and soul, and yet we're one person, since we're in the image of God, God is ONE and yet in three persons. Notice all the Islamic answers are spam. Islam is not the full version of Christianity as the other guy said. Islam is the complete opposite of Chrsitianity. However, let's remember that the Koran says that muslims are allowed to lie in order to defend their religion. have a good day.

In essence, yes. It takes a deeper subject to explain.
You are spirit living in a body. You also use only a small portion of your brain. Ever wonder why?
If you had all knowledge, you'd also be able to think with your spirit instead of your mortal brain. If you could think with your spirit, you would leave this world. Why would you stick around, knowing what absolute, total freedom felt like?
God CAN think with His Spirit. He sees His existence the way we cannot. Although one unit, working in unison, God is also known as 3:Father,Son and HolyGhost. This is something nobody can grasp until they are free of this body, so no use in dwelling on it. We have what we need for this world and this life.
The Spirit of God (known as the Holy Spirit), being perfectly capable of just creating a grown man, instead entered the womb that no other had used before Him. He did this for our sake.
Example: You see a flock of birds and several of them keep running into this huge, plate glass window. They can't see that there is glass and they think they should be able to just fly through the building. Now wouldn't it be nice, if you could simply become a bird, for a few minutes, so that you could explain to them, in bird language, what the problem is?
That's what God did. The only thing is, He is able to be 3 in 1. So it was the Spirit part that came and produced the Son part. The Son was walking this earth with the actual Spirit of God as a part of Himself. After He ascended into the heavens, the Holy Spirit then returned to this world to abide in the believer. (lots of implication there, huh)

When God created his only begotten son he gave him His Holy Spirit and very nature.
Jesus inherited his Fathers Holy Spirit and the very Nature of God.
Jesus is the son of God and God as well because his Fathers spirit dwells within his own as well.
When Jesus was on the cross he had to be Spiritually separated from his Father because God is a Holy God and cannot be touched by sin.
When Jesus cried out "My God my God why has thou forsaken me?" he was completely alone because the Holy Spirit had left him while he became sin and was suffering for it.
But he was still Holy and the son of God.
Since like begets like the spiritually dead can only give birth to spiritually dead offspring.
But since Jesus was human in flesh he was God in Spirit because only one of his parents was human, the other was God.
So Jesus was born spiritually alive like Adam before he sinned and fell into darkness.
That's why he was without sin and therefore a perfect sacrifice to atone for our sins.
He who was without sin was punished for it so those of us who are sinful wouldn't be.
If your still confused then here's a couple of good books that will answer a good amount of questions for you.
Check out "Classic Christianity" by Bob George then "The Life Saving Power in the Name of Jesus" by Jennifer Kennedy Dean.
Both will open your eyes and help you understand more than you've ever dreamed of.
God bless you and peace and joy be with you!

Because God is everywhere at once. Even when you think he/she is not.
God is not human so is not restricted to what humans are.
Jesus was born as a man. Made the earth a better place and died for our sins. He was the son of God, a prophet, a teacher scholar and preacher.
A good man that I can't say but I would guess is disappointed in how we as people treat each other and especially the fundamentalists that treat others badly in his name.
But I just hope I am forgiven for my mistakes.

Yes,.. read the first chapter of john. Its still not 100% understood by us humans,.. but your spirit will see it!..
John 1...
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God.” The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 10;30
I and my father are one.
