I'm not sure. I drink 1% and I'm lactose intolerant. Also they have some pills you can take before you drink or eat dairy products. I believe it only works if you aren't highly lactose intolerant.

I would probably stay away from the formula and try something else. First, it probably tastes awful (it smells putrid). Second, most formula has about 20 calories per ounce, compared to 1% milk at 12.5 calories. I don't know if you need to watch your calories or not (most people should). Formula is too high in fat for adults to drink. It has as much fat as whole human breast milk. It would be okay, in the sense that it won't bother you lactose intolerance, but I really wouldn't.

You should be able to buy lactose-free milk in your grocery store. Or you could try some soy milk. Silk is pretty good. You might be able to find some rice milk too.

You can drink regular milk if you buy an enzyme called Lactase. You can get it at any GNC or health food store. It will replace the enzyme that you don't have to digest the lactose. Give it a try. But as for your question - I'm not sure if you're asking if you should drink formula. ...ewe...I wouldn't have you ever smelled that stuff? Oh yes, don't forget about Lactaid milk - it's usually sold in the grocery store...works for my family once you get used to the taste.

You don't say why you want to drink it-if it's nutrition reasons you can get calcium from lots of things and vitamin D from sunlight. If it's to have with cereal or cookies etc., try soy, rice or almond milk-I like them better.
Consider the fact that nature designed milk to be consumed by baby animals, not adult humans-we just started drinking it because it was a readily available source of protein in the days when food was scarce.

YOu can buy milk that is already treated with the enzyme "lactase" & you'll be able to tolerate it. or you can buy the Lactaid tabs, or the generic, at Wal mart, etc,

I use the treated milk, called Dairy EASe, it 's like Lactaid, but here, it runs .50 less.& milk's going up everyday!

I thot of using baby formulas or dry milk, too,i think dry milk might work, but i chose the Dairy EAse................i get the nonfat & you cant even tell it's nonfat, i cant.

infant formulas are verrry expensive, & you don't really need all those DHA & prebiotics. ask for soy-based milk for adults at the grocery store
