It's contribution: NOTHING!
It's meaning: EITHER CONVERT OR DIE!
***********does that have meaning enough for you?***********

Of course, the meaning is more important: peace through following God's guidance to humankind.

The contributions are also highly significant, and are the direct result of the application of the Islamic system.

For example, the first word of the Holy Qur'an that was revealed was the command, "Read!" At the time when Europe was in the Dark Ages, when, in Europe, only the ecclesiastical elite was ALLOWED to read, almost all Muslims were literate. Literacy is part of the religion.

The Holy Qur'an commands us to study nature, and for that reason Muslims invented the ground lens (for astronomy and microbiology), the science of algebra (algebra is a Arabic) word, and modern medical science. Medical textbooks written by Muslim scientists before 1400 were still used by European physcians in the 1800s.

Waw!!!

Mr. Tek... I never thought I'd bump into such ignorance!

Let me see... Jabir bin Hayan was a Muslim, and he was considered the father of Chemistry.

The blood circulation theory was discovered by a Muslim health scientist (can't really remember his name).

Abu Bakr al Razi was the founder of the sight theory.

and things go on and on... Isacc Newton himself says that his work never would've reached that far if it wasn't for the effort of the great scientist who had lived before him, which included Muslim scientists.

As for female ciruculum, that's not even part of Islam, it's a cultural thing that took place out of ignorance.

Peace.

Edit : Lol... thanks for reminding me f4bulous1985, I kind of forgot that :p

I'd like to hear what contributions Islam has, that it didn't rob from cultures they conquered.

Almost all architecture, science, mathematics and health information they have was something they took (and broke), from the cultures they conquered.

About the only thing i can think of that is uniquely Islamic is female circumcision - which is a travesty against creation.

That rings like the lesser of two evils . Find your salvation without religion and you will know what an intelligent spirit is.
