My cousin has it but I'm not too sure on the symptoms, with him it's loud noises and loud crowds that he doesnt like, we also think my other cousin who is almost a year old may have it as he opens and closes his hands quite often and also when he's excited. Below are some pretty helpful sites.

Asperger's is usually diagnosed after extensive testing by a pediatrician, neurologist, psychologist or psychiatrist who specializes in developmental disorders.

There are tons of good websites on Asperger's, but it's not the kind of subject I can explain in a brief forum like this. Usually the patient is brought in for problems with communication or socialization skills, but there is a very wide variety of symptoms.

One book I often recommend is "An Anthropologist on Mars" by Oliver Sacks--it is a series of patient profiles, but the last one is of a woman named Temple Grandin, who has Asperger's and who has written several books in her own right. She's a pretty amazing person.
