Milk isn't only a calcium source, it's a nutritional powerhouse with additional performance enhancing properties like protein and vitamin D. That's why top athletes drink four to five 8-ounce glasses of milk daily.
Research shows that milk supports muscle protein accretion, as well as being an excellent choice for a long lasting muscle-protecting protein. Plus, milk contains whey — the most common form of protein found in bodybuilding supplements.
Anyone who cares about being active and keeping fit should drink milk. And it's good to know that low-fat and nonfat milk pack the same nutritional punch as regular milk.
Chocolate milk effectively helps athletes recover from intense workouts, according to recent research. With its high carbohydrate and protein content, chocolate milk may be considered an excellent alternative to commercially available sports drinks.
When it comes to fueling young athletes for demanding sports like soccer, what's important is to consume a diet rich in carbohydrates, protein and other nutrients that provide essential glycogen stores for running the body.

Mmmm definitely not... Nesquick has sugar, added color... No good. If you want strong bones you don't need only the calcium that milk provides but also to exercise regularly... Exercise will create microfractures in your bones that won't hurt but by healing will make your bones stronger every time. Drinking milk and eating milk producst such as yoghurt and cheese, will help a lot to have a healthy calcium deposit in your body making you avoid ostheoporosis later in life...
Hope it helps!!

Nesquick is better than no milk drank. I once asked an encyclopedia publisher this same question while I was pregnant since I cannot stand white milk. They told me chocolate milk has sweetners that white milk does not so there are more empty calories than white milk, but you still get all the calcium & nutrition from the milk.

No, Nesquick has loads of preservatives and e numbers in it. Stick to regular milk - skimmed is fine as it contains all the calcium you need.

Actually milk in general is full of hormones and crap the cows are injected with and you drink them, ever notice young girls have bigger breasts and start their periods earlier? Read the book "Skinny *****" and you will think twice about drinking milk. Go get Soy milk, it's better for you and no hormones .
