I find all religions quite interesting to learn about (all knowledge is good knowledge) and am accepting of all. I myself go to a Catholic school and I find that after having studied all about the religion and different religions I can make an informed decision that i do not believe in any.

I find most organised religions to be counter productive, and often times contratdictary.
My own beliefs are really just bits and pieces of everything I've herd along the way, and I've just kinda taken the stuff that makes the most sense and left the rest behind. I think everyone should be entitled to believe in what ever they choose, so long as it doesn't hurt or discriminate those around them.

Hmmm I think religions are the latest in a long line of man made entities designed to control man.. If however someone chooses to follow one, have at it, simply keep it to yourself instead of preaching it to others who have told you time and again they are not interested..
It's rude to continue preaching when someone has politely told you "I am not interested".... If more religious people would simply back off when told "I am not interested" the world would be a better place... It would also help religious people avoid false percesussion complexes as currently many continue preaching until people are forced to tell them "STFU" very rudely and loudly because they refuse to listen when it's simply said politely and calmly...

Religion is a cause of misery, enslavement and suffering. The search for, and worship of God happens in the mind and heart of the seeker, not in congregations of (what ever faith)

A religion is a set of common beliefs and practices generally held by a group of people, often codified as prayer, ritual, and religious law. Religion also encompasses ancestral or cultural traditions, writings, history, and mythology, as well as personal faith and mystic experience. The term "religion" refers to both the personal practices related to communal faith and to group rituals and communication stemming from shared conviction.

Religions is just the "good" part from the Tree of Knowledge of Good an Evil. Ultimately it is still evil - that is good without God in the Good is always evil!

It's not for everybody. But it can be a useful tool if it's recognized for what it is and used properly. I like having dogma in some sense and I love the beauty of organized ceremony.
The problem I think, is when people don't use their religion as a subjective tool, but rather treat it as an objective "cause".

It's a tool intended to control people. Simple as that. It aims to brainwash young, and keep people as submissive followers for the rest of their lives. It's a means of mental slavery.

I'm atheist. I don't believe in or agree with religion, but if people want to have their faiths and choose to believe then fine, more power to them. I don't think any less of the religious for believing what they want to believe.

I think most religions have outlived their useful lives. At their present state of evolution and development, humans need something more timely and appropriate to fulfill their spiritual quest.
