OK so the origins of both things is unknown (the origin of the matter which created the bang and the origin of God)
There is evidence for both (for the bang, scientific and for creation, spiritual)
Both have mass amounts of pheasable and unreasonable arguements.
And both are completely illogical (the big bang; the matter came from nowhere/just was there... Creation; God came from nowhere/just was there)
So how can anyone claim that the big bang or creationism is anymore logical than the other? isn't the logic of both of them near enough the same?

well TEK its not about faith. I could have faith in a snowman coming to life, and get a million people to have faith in it aswell, doesn't mean it will happen. In the same way, just because its easier to believe in something doesn't change its validity

use_me_4_great_works; I'm not trying to disprove God. Im saying that both stories are as valid as each other, i'm trying to PROVE god as a possibility to those who don't believe in him and prove the big bang as a POSSIBILITY to those who do believe. I'm an agnostic and I believe there is a chance God exists. Why do you think i'm trying to disprove him?

You're correct, however I believe God was the force behind the big bang. I think its also important to note that the believers in the big bang theory are exercising faith also. Faith that science will one day discover how something can come from nothing. I know atheists hate to admit this fact, but they are demonstrating faith.

This might be the dealbreaker:
Scientists have theories they keep testing, and once unraveled, they either revise their original ideas or dig a little deeper. Scientists are constantly correcting themselves as they learn more, and so comprehensive knowledge amongst scientists throughout the world continues growing and building. They're able to admit, when warranted, that they're wrong, and continue their work in a search for truth.
Those on the other side of the argument seldom correct themselves, because, well, the basis of that argument is that truth is absolute, and One is the answer to all. Concepts such as evolution, the expanding universe, and what the WMAP has to say about the big bang are beyond simple understanding and therefore attributed to the mysterious Answer and a collection of divinely written stories in one book.
There is no "Creation vs. the Big Bang" argument. You can't compare the two. While some say that proof is everywhere for creation, proof in the neighborhood of bllions of light years from everywhere points to the big bang. Those are two different worlds of consciousness altogether.

I'm a Christian and I have to say yes. The point being that there is no possible evidence of either.
For the Christian, it's a matter of believing the Word of God but even that leaves out the details. I doubt God thought it important to report to us.
On the other hand, the big bang THEORY is just that.....a theory. Just like the Darwin THEORY, which also is only a theory.
My personal definition of 'theory' is 'somebody's bright idea'. The problem came when the 'government' schools began throwing the word 'theory' around as though it meant 'fact', which it is not. Not even Webster, changed the meaning of the word theory, in the dictionary.
So where does this heady attitude come from, making claims that anyone with two brain cells should know that the latest and greatest of knowledge, is now referred to as 'theory'. That makes no sense.
For many years, now, it's our collective tax dollars that pay the teachers and yet they continue to teach our children 'theories' instead of facts. Therein lies the rub.
It's not that Christians would demand that our teachings be taught in the schools, it is the fact that we don't appreciate our children being taught lies instead of factual data.
As long as 2 equals two 1's, we can prove that 2X1 is 2. That is something factual. Presenting anything that cannot be proven with any formula, has no place in our schools.
This has become such an overpowering, heady subject that to get back to the reality of reading, writing and arithmetic seems almost impossible. So impossible that our children cannot graduate school without somebody lying for them.
The facts? Neither can be proven in the school, according to factual data, so neither should be supported by our taxes.

I'm an Agnostic also and I don't believe in the normal idea of the big bang nor the scientific idea of creation, I do believe there could possibly be a God also.
Here is a site about the universe and the big bang if your interested.

Science has come to believe matter appeared everywhere at once and space is stretching pulling everything with it, not exactly a big bang. This supports String theories idea of membranes bumping against each other, matter would appear everywhere at once.
I don't think humans and dinosaurs were here at the same time either, we wouldn't have survived.

As each little thing interior the mortal international seems to be finite, having a commencing up and an end (the chicken and the egg), that's tense for some to entice close the assumption of eternal issues. God constantly replaced into and constantly would be, as a effect finite techniques fail of their attempt to describe God. If the assumption of eternity is likewise utilized to the super Bang and stuff constantly existed, then one might ask what proportion great Bangs have occured interior the previous. Stuff gets thrown out and finally comes returned at the same time to be thrown out returned.

The Big Bang is founded on sound evidence. It does not address where it all came from, just how the early universe inflated, cooled allowing hydrogen and helium to form and then reheated as the first stars were formed.
The early stars fussed all of the elements on the Period Table from lithium to uranium. This is a related theory, called Nucleosynthesis. The CMB radiation has been measured, it is consistent in all directions we observe in space, and is proof of the earliest radiation of the universe.
The evidence of Creation lies in the Bible and can only be accepted on faith. This is in no way a valid scientific hypothesis, there's no basis to confirm the claims of Creationism by observation.
These two competing views are NOT equivalent. Period.

There is no conflict between Creation and the Big Bang. Creation obviously happened, since the universe is not eternal, and had to come into existence (be created) at some point. The Big Bang, if it occurred, was simply the means God used to create the universe. God created the Rocky Mountains too, but that doesn't mean we cannot understand the natural forces involved in their creation.

Aah, interesting argument, however, consider this. All the matter in the universe was once compressed into a space small then a decimal point on a page eg '.' Now, if you observe black holes, no light can escape, and there very dense, but at the start of the universe, everything was close enough to be a black hole. So, how did the matter/energy expand when the force of gravity would have re-crushed it back in on itself?

What I would LOVE to know is , for those who do believe in the so called *big bang* is this... the human body is just soooooo very intricate, with the brain, the lungs, blood vessels, intestines, etc., just how do you explain how one itty , bitty, cell turned into this very delicate and intricate system we have ?? and if every thing is expanding or still evolving, then how are we STILL the same ole HUMAN form that we are ??????? hmmmm..... go in peace....... God bless
PS....... The question of where God came from is one of those merry go round ones, round and round we go..... All I can say is what *I* believe, and that is God just was, is, and shall always be... maybe one day, we will all get the answer on that one question....... hmmmmmm...... again.... God bless

Oh wait there doing that right now - now what you going to do when science is wrong again!?!
