My cat likes to eat spiders!!!!!! Bugs shouldn't be anything to worry about. Just be careful if you see him catching anything along the lines of birds and mice (they can carry disease).

It's protein, and hey, cats are predators, they are getting a kick out of catching, and naturally eat what they catch! Bug catching at night is fine, I'd be worried about daytime bug catching due to wasps and bees. Most get stung once and avoid the buzzy bugs thereon. Apparently June/dune bugs are bitter, according to the look on my cat's face after having a little chew.

It's perfectly healthy. This is what they eat in the wild.
Probably much better for them than whats in some of the commercial pet foods...
As long as the bugs havent been exposed to pesticides.

Its perfectly normal for cats to eat bugs. I would discourage from eating spiders though depending on where you live. My cat loves to catch grasshoppers in midair and crunches them down. Its healthy to them and they enjoy it.

I have an indoor cat, but he likes to eat insects too. He chases them around and plays hunter with them. I asked my vet and she said its normal and even healthy for him to chase/eat insects. I think cats do it to hone their hunting skills and also because its fun for them. I wouldn't worry about it at all unless he stops eating cat food in favor of insects!

Yes, bugs are nutritious.
However, eating fleas can result in tapeworm. It's curable though.

It's harmless, unless someone has been using pesticides. So if you have neighbors with heavily chemical lawns, then I'd worry.
