Don't think. Just walk around and stuff with your mind something as in blank. That does not make you a sad person since you are not stupid, actually being like that allows you to get things faster, like a tricky joke.
I have been doing this for about a week already after reading the "Tao Te Ching", is like the bible of Taoism but unlike the Christian bible this is merely phylosophical.
The point is that this about having your mind in blank makes wonders.
Oh, and how it relates, well at the same time you are not thinking what others may think about you, actually I had the same problem, that's why I am using this .

first of all its first that you like yourself. if you can believe that then that is good start. now you have to look yourself over and see. you are nice looking and you are pleasant and you are smart so what if you are shy. that is sometimes the way people are and its ok also. if someone says they dont' liek it oh well that is their tuff luck for not knowing you. you have good qualities and therefore you dont' need anyones approval just go on and live your own life you will meet people that dont' like loud people do they have to be around it nope? they can move on and you do the same you are great and believe.

my classmates think that I'm weird... but i do not care because i know that they just don't get how i dress up. so i still go up to class and not minding them. you should also do the same thing... u should have enough confidence to look them in the eye and let them them know that you do not care about what they think. as long as you're not hurting someone, there's nothing to be ashamed of... you have your own life and they have theirs, so basically it is just fair that if you don't mind them, they'll not mind you too..

OK, i used to be just like you. i cared to much about what people thought of me, i still do a little, but i usually just get myself looking good in the morning for me! and nobody else. if your favorite color is blue, wear blue! if you think you would like to try something enw...say...tennis! go ahead and try it! you will end up making new friends! have fun and stay positive! good luck!

You should try to just ignore them......and if that doesn't work, fake it. Sounds awful, I know, but if you can make people think you don't care what they think, eventually it becomes true.

just be a positive thinker....... ignore what people think about you and show to them what an incredible person you are...... so just be confident to yourself and you will overcome that......
