We went shopping today and I was called into work, so I left home to work and before I left, he asked me if I would like to come over for a beer after work. I bought 2 six packs yesterday and we never drank them because once again I was working and exhausted.
At about 8 pm, I called to tell him I was on the way home and he didnt answer. I called again at about 9 pm and he still didnt answer. I called his cell phone and he must have left it on the charged because he didnt answer. He is on vacation and probably out having a good time somewhere. Should I just forget it? We are both pretty much work a holics.

It depends on how serious your relationship is, and if he's ever done this before. I dated a guy who used to stand me up, and I think nothing is more disrespectful. But it's possible for anyone to make a mistake, and he may have completely forgotten he asked you to come over, and then someone called with an exciting invite, so he went. Or it's possible he fell asleep, if you are indeed both exhausted workaholics. But you should def. confront him about it, even in a half-joking, "Hey, what happened to you last night??? I had to go drink my beers with (insert name of real or imaginary MALE friend here)!". That way he at least knows you don't expect to be stood up, and probably won't be so nice about it next time. Then again, if he's done it before, chew him out and/or dump him.
PS Candii S is crazy. He invited you AFTER you got called in to work.

You're a work a holic and this is what you have waiting for you at the end of the day? This is unacceptable. If he is on vacation, he should have invited you or at least let you know he was going.

You have every right to be mad.

He's upset with you because you put work before him and his way of showing it is by not being available to you. You two should talk about it and maybe have some agreement on days spent together since the both of you are workaholics. Just forget about it and try to be a bit more compromising next time. He obviously wanted to spend time with you.
