This is right, in physics this is a fundamental question too.

if your having trouble believing listen to this.
During WW2 guys who fought say there's no such thing as an atheist in combat.
Give that a long good thought.
Also scientist did come up with a way to prove how the universe was created using super accelerators to turn anti matter into matter, (anti matter is space). Once this process is lanched it begins to accelerate on it's own, in other words this process begins to accelerate on the antimatter side with each new piece of matter it produces much like the principals of nuclear fission thus explain how the first atoms formed and coagulated to form the elements, which created the first gases which is the basis of the birth of the universe. So, so much for how the universe began. Also scientist knew but could not explain why the universe is expanding, hence the big bang theory. Now they know that its expanding because it's still creating matter. These conductors are technically known as superconducting supercolliders and are 54 miles in circumference and are burried 200 feet below the ground. the technolgy was concidered so dangerous that it is still kept hush hush from the press as to the possible repercussions of what could go wrong and were to be located in remote areas of the U.S.. Also I doubt that any of these Yahoo's have even heard of one. Fortunately the building of these things was stopped mid way thru completion. this will link you to a site which explains why.

Bottom line, did God start this process. Nobody can answer that. Therefore. it is possible that God could exist. I don't think it is as important to give yourself to religion or to believe in God as it is to live by the moral standards set forth by the bible.

Maybe because there has always been something, it just continues to transform from one form into another. We look for a beginning, because of our concept of time and space. Every journey has a starting and ending point. Time passes as we travel towards the end. We expect to find evidence that something could come out of nothing, or that God brought it into being somehow.
But maybe it (the stuff of our universe) has always existed. The word "always" is also misunderstood. If it always was there, we say it is "eternal". But if time stops between each transformation (begun by a Big Bang of a sort) than our idea of time is irrelevant, and so it cannot truly be eternal (going on forever).

I look at it this way. If you live your life as though there was a God, you would be in a better position even if you found out that there wasn't one. If you lived your life as though there was not a God and then found that there was one, you might regret it.
Faith is a great question and is something that you have to decide for yourself. Yes, the universe is an amazing thing and cannot be explained. How can there be space without end? I cannot answer this, nor can anyone else. It is up to you to either believe or not.

It is too amazing to be explained away with superstitious and utterly ridiculous ideas presented by all religions.
Add:
The short story submitted by [[Elleâ¥Kay]]⢠is just a play on word definitions. I have felt cold when the temperature was still above zero, and I can't see in the dark, and I know mammals have brains. Perception is more important than definitions. That is all any form of life has to go by. Within the wide range of heat and light, mammals like us can only observe and survive within a small range. So of what importance is a degree of measurement?

You are right. The universe is extraordinary.
Personally, I think the whole creation position cheapens the majesty and grandeur of the universe. Who can't be wowed that the whole process has been going on for 13 billion years and that it continues to this day? That beats a simplistic creation story that any ancient culture could fabricate (and many did, they are all just variations on a theme).

Yes. Some people think the best way to explain the unexplainable existence of anything is to offer the explanation that God's existence needs no explanation.
I think it is simpler (and likeley more true) to say we don't know why anything exists, and making up explanations out of our ignorance only leads to more ignorance.

Yes it is extraordinary .God is, and has to be. Without God there is nothing. With God there is something, and in fact everything. God created everything except himself. He always was, always is, and always will be. This is another way of saying God is eternal. Now we ( our souls) will live eternally either in heaven with the eternal God or in hell. So we will live eternally but we will never be eternal like God. Extraordinary indeed ! Cap Arlo

Ok you have me very confused with your question, maybe that's because your not really asking a question but making a statement. At least that's my take on what you have written. But if you are asking if there is a God then I would have to say yes there is a God.

the fact that there is something rather than nothing is extraordinary to you? There would be nothing, if there was no God, so it is even more extraordinary to me to see the love of God poured out to the universe that He created.
