I would not spend too much time on traveling to your destination since you only have a week. If you are an American citizen and already have a passport, you will have little trouble getting a visa for practically any country. I do not know if the same is true for your boyfriend if he is a citizen of India.

Just plan to meet somewhere most convenient for both of you. Do not forget to check out the weather both at the destination and any place you may be stopping en route. Airport delays can kill a vacation that is only a week long to begin with.

Thailand. Its one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I was there twice . It has both beautiful beaches ( the movie The Beach was filmed on Phi Phi Island ) as well as temples , great food and an ancient culture. And its so cheap you will be shocked, currency is about the same value as the Indian rupee. People are also very friendly.

Visas are easy to get for Indians , but you need to apply outside Thailand at a Thai embassy or consulate .

Call a Travel Agency. Visas are tricky and the rules change all the time. Italy-Venice is beautiful in the Spring time. Athens, Greece. Lisbon, Portugal. All nice. Germany, great. Take your pick of old Western Europe, and you won't be sorry. It is great. but very expensive. Check out the hotel prices before you go. $300US a night is common and more.

I loved Switzerland...the French portion. Absolutely lovely. If you have something more exotic in mind, Aruba is also beautiful. France can be beautiful, and the old section of Paris is somewhere everyone should visit once. Just be careful where you go in the city. I liked Wales, too. Lots of castles. My husband prefers Ireland and Holland.

i would be making my thirtieth look for suggestion from with in March and that i'm gazing forward to it immensely. i've got been traveling because of the reality that i replaced into as quickly as 15 or perhaps spent a year working there. i like Malaysia and characteristic unique pals there who i will't wait to work out returned.

I would love to see Paris, France, Ireland, Thailand, and Australia, just me though. I love wild animals so the jungle rainforest type places would be great for me.

Have you looked into New Zealand?
It's kinda in between where you both live.
Remember the movie Lord of the Rings! It was filmed there.
