Well, maybe you're right then, we don't have free will. If God is holy and just, then us sinners sure don't deserve Heaven. Maybe He has to save us instead. Otherwise we'd all be in Hell.

Would love or even friendship have any meaning if it wasn't a result of choice? If God didn't create us to be his friends, then what did he create us to be? What other purposes could humans (created "in his image") serve if they were programmed to obey the will of God without question?

Did God create us to be Gods too...assuming it would even be possible for an infinite being to create another one, why would God want to create his own competition? Did he want slaves? What would a God that can speak the universe into existence need with slaves? Pets perhaps?.

Then again, would you and I even exist without Adam and Eve's decision to rely on their own understanding instead of following God's instructions? There was no talk of "go forth and multiply" until God sent Adam and Eve out of the garden and into (or perhaps onto) the earth. If Adam and Eve hadn't disobeyed and been relocated to the earth, they would probably still exist (they'd have eventually gotten to that tree of life), perhaps even with a few more humans that God created the way he created them...and they would still be in the garden!

Wasn't painful childbirth something that God said would happen to Eve when they left the garden?...perhaps people focus too much on the "painful" part and overlook the "childbirth" part as the true consequence. Childbirth sounds like a pretty inefficient method for God to use to populate the world when he can create a human out of dust in a few moments!

Without free will, it is possible that life as we know it wouldn't even exist!

As for Satan, beyond some brief mentions in the bible, God didn't see fit to give us much information about how Satan came to exist or how and when he became separated from God. I could speculate but I prefer to believe that God had a reason for not giving us that information. Perhaps he knew that we couldn't possibly comprehend it...just look at what a hard time John had comprehending all the stuff he was seeing in Revelation. The bible makes it pretty clear that our finite mind can't possibly understand the infinite mind of God ("the foolishness of God is wiser than men" and "the wisdom of the world is foolishness with God"). Perhaps it is enough to be aware that God has an enemy that wants us to choose his way over God's way.

It appears that your are seeking and finding excuses to not believe in God. You are doing this because you love your sin and dont want to give it up. Therefore you ask questions here not to really learn the truth, but to seek confirmation that your non belief and therefore your sin is OK. Now if I am wrong , then I apologize and here is the true answer to your question. Free will, will not only lead us to eternal torture. Free will can also lead you to everlasting bliss in heaven. Its your choice. It does not take a rocket scientist to see this. Also God created Satan as an angel. Satan also had a free will and he chose everlating torture. Again its your choice , what will you choose? Come to Christ.

I accept as true with you on homosexuality, i do no longer understand what the respond is not any count number if this is a sin or no longer, yet I do think of that it is between God and this guy or woman. My pastime as a Christian is to love them and be sort to them. The question of abortion is one which is amazingly diverse and that i will answer this as the two a Christian and on soley an psychological point. As a Christian, i think that all and sundry existence is sacred, that on the 2nd of theory a residing soul has come into the international to end God's purpose (besides the fact that that is). putting my Christian ideals aside (I comprehend that no longer all of us is a Christian or shares my ideals), American regulation errs on the portion of conservatism (i.e harmless till shown to blame). the yank scientific association has desperate that at a undeniable element in fetal progression (i think this is sixteen weeks) it is considered a existence. nicely as quickly as we've desperate that at a undeniable element it does replace right into a existence (they themselves use the be conscious "around") what if this is 15 weeks or 14 weeks? That being suggested I even have faith that expert-lifers could desire to step up and take accountability for his or her ideals (while you're professional existence, do you volunteer to paintings with deprived toddlers, are you a foster make certain? Do you provide to charities that help toddlers and single mothers? in case you own a company, do you supply day care?) because of the fact i'm a expert-lifer, I even have faith in kinfolk making plans and condom use (if the egg and sperm in no way meet, there s no theory)

Its all part of a grand plan. Satan has free will too, but he messed up. Free will is to test us. God leads us to life, not torture. The torture will come from a persons own perfect conscience and knowledge of what they could of had, not from any external punishment. Or they will have peace from their own perfect conscience.

What would you rather - the most beautiful girl you've ever seen in your life fall in love with you on her own, or you dragging her by the hair and tie her to the bedpost unwilling, hating everything about you? Free will is not a game. If you don't know what it's about, don't play. Satan played and he he lost. He was a much better player than we are.

Free will is the product of a loving God. We do the same with our own children. We allow them to explore and experiment as long as they stay within predefined boundaries for their own safety. And if they breach those boundaries, they must be corrected. But the choice is always theirs to make.

God created Lucifer, the most magnificent angel of them all. Lucifer morphed into satan by wanting to be more powerful than his own creator.

Just to test all of us,(Humans)He gave us free will. And at the same time he send his commandments for us to follow. He send many messengers to guide us&make us understand what is good&what is bad, The choice is ours, we can choose our own way or Gods way, On the day of judgement we are accountable for what we have done in this life, Im a muslim i strongly belive in all of Gods commandments, But Qur'an is the last and final commandment of God (Allah)There is no God but Allah, Prophet Muhammad is the last Prophet of God(Allah)

If He hadn't given us free will, we'd be God-loving robots with no choice to actually love Him or not. He wants us to choose Him, and if we do it won't lead to eternal torture! People choose hell for themselves by not believing in God!

I will explain "free will" to you in a way you may understand:
Think of it this way, If you were to marry the woman of your dreams, would you want her to be programmed to love you, or would you want her to freely love you? Which would you prefer? Would you feel as much love toward her if you knew her love for you was forced upon her? Or would you love her more, knowing that she truly loves you? God does not want robots, pre-programmed to love Him. God wants our true heart felt love for Him, that is why He gives us the choice.
If satan did not exist, where would our choice be? How could we choose God if there were no other choice available to us?
The same with people, God knew people would be wicked and sin and yet He still created us. Jesus is Gods example of Himself to us, just as satan is Gods example of sin to us. Do you know when God appears in His most Glorious splendor?
He appears so when standing next to satan. The more evil and wickedness, the more God shines through. If there was no evil in the world, where would our compassion be? How would we learn compassion? If there was no sin in the world, we would all be perfect and there would be no need for spiritual growth, no need to repent, no need to pray for others and no need for a Savior. We would just be robots with smiles drawn on our faces, praising God with no true feeling behind it. I want my children to hug me and say they love me because their heart tells them so, not because I have brainwashed them to say this. If I could completely protect my children from the harmful things of this world, how would they ever learn? Once they got out on their own, beyond my protection, they would not have the skills necessary to survive.
We learn by failure, just as God teaches us in our Spiritual growth with Him. God allows us to stumble (sin) thereby building our strength of character so that the next time we do not stumble. Sin is a reality of life and a tool we are trained by. God Bless You...Peace.
