i have this idea for a "radio scanner". What this little device will do, is constantly scan the radio stations that are coming in, and let you know which ones come in. Its like a little device that will let you know when a "rock" station (or whatever your choice, ie: oldies, country, etc) is listenable.
For example, your in your car, listening to the oldies and it starts to fade out. You can look down at your device and it will tell you the other oldies stations that are coming in, so you can switch to that one without having to scan. Great for travelers that are not from the area.
Anyways, i have more on this, anybody want to help me?!?

sounds like a cool idea, if functional. Tell us here on Yahoo Answers--how will the device listen to what is on every other station (AM and FM) and IDENTIFY what is playing at the time ? Another question--if another station that has oldies is just airing the news or a commercial at the time of scan, how will the device accomodate that variation ? If you are listening to a college football game that fades, will the device only look for college football, pro football, or any sports broadcast? How would you program the device as to what to look for?It is an idea that even if it can be done, I do not see the practical possibility--any other user(s) here agree or disagree?

Patend the product and sell it to Philco Ford.
Do you have a device or just an idea?
