I suggest not drinking beer, or in fact-juice. If you are anxious, sugar, which are found in both of these, will only worsen your anxiety. Also, if you are predetermining your mental illness, stop it. Seriously-stop it. Life is about controlling you...and your mind-your universe. You are aware of what will happen, so tell wake up-and tell yourself that it's "all in your head", because it is.
Stress can lead to physically and mental illness. I suggest exercise (join a sports team). Instead of the beer, I would go for the chamomile tea. Drinking tea here, especially for guys in nyc, is considered hip.
Now don't get me wrong with beer. I love beer (i'm 23. though) but alcohol, as well with weed, are antidepressants. So if you are feeling anxious, and you go have a beer, it'll only worsen those emotions....
but then again-it's all in your head......

No, this is not good; try drinking some juice or water instead. Pick up your bible and read Philippians Chapter 4 you will be glad that you did. Drinking a beer won't help; it will only hurt you in the end. I know this because I suffer with Anxiety/Depression and still is fighting it.

You're underage. Are you going to ask someone to break the law for you? Then both of you will be in trouble. If you start medicating with alcohol...you'll be starting an addiction you 'll regret. Go to the dr. and get something non addictive and some counseling. Drink some camomile tea and go to bed. You've got school tomorrow !! What are you doing up so late?? What you're doing is called "stinkin' thinkin'"...save your thinkin for school. Did you hear me? GO TO BED !!! lol

If you start turning to beer every time youre anxious, youre going to wind up an alcoholic. Exercise helps relieve anxiety naturally. So does meditation. If those dont work, talk to your doctor.. you may have an anxiety disorder that he can prescribe medication for.

NO, beer will not help, you will feel a little drowsy for a short time but your anxiety will come back. Try to avoid sodas with caffeine like coke, pepsi, power drinks, coffee, drink more milk with a little sugar. eat pasta. Alcohol is ADDICTIVE !!!
stay away from it, it damages your body AND your brain.

Wrong! sorry, but some people , all it takes it just 1. my son was 16 & his uncle told him he'd buy him some beer if he helped him move. well, he did.
But he became an alcoholic. You never know how it will affect you. like Meth,it only takes one hit for some people.
Don't solve 1 problem while creating another.
try counceling, & it may be you need a head dr(psychatrist)sp. & pray, God hears our every sorrow, he knows our deepest fear.
Good luck, & btw, my son is okay right now, but i havent heard from him in a while.

Although alcohol is known to lower anxiety at low doses, heavy alcohol consumption is believed to induce prominent anxiety symptoms. Alcohol induced anxiety symptoms usually include generalized anxiety symptoms, panic attacks, and phobias.

You would be more greatly benefited by a shoulder massage or a back-rub. The depth of relaxation is greater.

Nobody on this planet ever had any sort of problem that alcohol could make better.
Depending on your personality, you could wind up a whole lot more anxious than you are now.
