do you consider your religion to be the "right" one?

I'm honestly not trying to start a fight or anything, I just want to know where people are coming from since I am not very religious at all.

Also, how do you feel about people with very different beliefs than yourself?

My religion is right for me.

I do not try to attack any bodies beliefs or prove them wrong unless they do so to me first. "the best defense is a good offense"

As for people with different beliefs I wish them the best in and hope that maybe we could learn something from one another even if we disagree in the end.

Dear ilovejoshua, we have to know first what is religion. Religion is a set of rules to be observerd in different conditions and different situations. Example, what is the religion of water? Water's religion is: will remain fluid in room temperatue, will become ice below 0 degree celcius, will evaporate above 100 degrees celcius, is transparent, is a good solvent, non-conductor of electricity etc.
Now, if you ask water, whether it considers it's religion to be the right one, what will be it's answer?
Is it not funny to question like that? But, we saw that, there are several instances where water is being used as conductor of electricity. Does that mean there are several religions of water? NO. Conductivity in water comes due to its impurity. That is not pure water's religion.
So is for human. There is a fixed nature or religion for entire mankind. For entire mankind there is only one religion and you can not ask whether that is right or wrong. That is natural.
You find differences due to insertion of impurities in the pure religion. If you try to compare the rules in Islam, Christianity, Judaism etc you will find that all rules are the same except a few. Impurities are among those differences.
Now I come to your second point. You told that you are not very religious at all. Is it possible? Human religion is that, they should live in society. Don't you live in society? Human religion is that, they should not steal one aother's property. Do you steal? Human religion is that, they should be truthful. Are you not truthful. Human religion is that, they should not cheat each other in bussiness. Do you cheat? Human religion is that, they should not neglect their parents. Do you?
So on. Nothing can be without religion and no human can be out of human religion. You are also within religion. Only, there may be some impurity.
I pray for you so that you could come out of impurities and be a pure human. You will be able if you try with intelligence and logic and seek help from God. Take care.

My religion -- Roman Catholicism -- is the right one for me, but that's all that I'm willing to commit to. Religion isn't a "one size fits all" deal, and I'm not going to say that my way is the only way. That'd be pretty arrogant on my part.

I tend to be very tolerant when it comes to people with different belief systems than mine. Some people probably won't agree with me, but I believe that any religion that brings the individual closer to God is the right one for them.

I consider my religion to be the things I do on the outside, not the things I think or feel on the inside. So basically, I guess my brand of religion is Lutheran, since thats what I do Sunday mornings... but my faith is something different.

Yes, I know it is but you can't logically expect any other answer...

I have Friends of a different faith but we don't go to each others church...Basically, we don't talk about it because we know how the other one feels. I also do not participate in activities with them that go against the teachings of the Bible...I am loyal to God and answer to him,,,not to them...

I believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God.
It is written that Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

For those that believe differently, and reject Christ, I feel sadness for them, as they are my brothers and sisters, and they will be judged, and cast into the lake of fire, as it is also written.

I would have to be quite stupid, which I am not, to choose to worship in a religion that I don't believe to be the right one, wouldn't I?

Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man can come to the Father except through me.

Says it all in a nutshell, doesn't it.
