I have no problem with equal pay or many of the other wishes. I am talking about how some women blame men for all problems and promote sexism. Isn't replacing one prejudice with another just as wrong? Since we know sin isn't a man or a woman thing it is a human condition that affects us all. I see this attitude in the church sometimes and wondered if others have and how they feel about it?

I heard a women bashing men one night. I was kinda wonderig if she had gone through a break oup or something. But it seemd to me like an adult version of saying they have cooties. i have also heard some say that some men have problem with strong women. I don't have a problem with strong women but why can't these qualities be strong in Kindness or giving or other godly areas other than odering people around.

I have a problem with feminists. Holy cow do I. Mostly because of, like you said, replacing one prejudice with another. Especially when they start to demand that we call God It instead of Him, or, in some really messed up cases, Her. No no no, ladies, God was referred to as a man but I don't think He is a man. Jesus actually was a male while on Earth. Where they heck to they get this stuff? Unfortunately, some of the leaders of my church find that stuff "progressive!" I find it "stupid and unnecessary!"

My My I am so glad that I haven't witnessed none of this at my church and hope that I never do. However CURTIS I think that sometimes the women feel pushed into that role because sometimes the husband does not want to step up and take that role. It is more like I have to step up and take my child to church because no else would do it. Alot of women would gladly give that role right back to the husband asap if he would MAN UP... You see what I am saying? I'm not saying that is the case all the time because that would be a lie but don't you think that alot of men aren't manning up?

Now I will agree that some female ministers are like this but the only ones I have noticed that are domineering are also lesbian??? I'm not saying that this is the reason why just saying this is the one that I noticed that was like that and she was just mannly to begin with you know????? Okay bash me now someone is not going to like that....lol NOT MEANING TO MAKE ANYONE MAD>>>>>>>

Some churches could do with a bit more feminism, in my opinion. Many churches have had wildly imbalanced, male-dominant power structures for centuries. True, replacing one prejudice for another isn't the answer, but there's nothing wrong with allowing women the opportunity to take more expanded roles within Christianity. Some churches still act as if a woman's only role is working in the church nursery and cooking and cleaning up after the pot-luck dinners.

You do realize that the Catholic church ran around burning woman for fun? Woman have been oppressed for years as a result of religion. Westerners jump up and down screaming at Eastern cultures for the way the women are treated - but Westeners were just as bad - if not worse.

I want to see a female pope, a female Minister and priest (not just Dawn French), I want to see MORE feminism in Christianity. Maybe, just maybe, it will bring the world to its knees and people just myself will be able to stop looking at religion as the "God of War"

Feminism is not a problem for the church until woman want to take the role of religious leader in their own homes which God clearly gave to men.

I consider myself a feminist, I am for equal pay, no sexual comments in the workplace or anywhere else, but I don't blame men for everything. (I blame certain men for some things, but that's just because they did the "some things") In fact, many of my closest friends are male.

It bothers me when my mom, who considers herself a feminist, and my friend, who also considers herself a feminist, are making comments about men. (I mean, aside from a joking "you're a man, it's not your fault you're a moron" to my dad, which is a joke between him and my mom) I seriously think women and men are switching roles in their quest for equality, and I don't see that's a good thing.

women and adult men have diverse roles. women are nurturers, by way of nature or layout, or maybe if you go with to call it. there's a reason women have the womb. adult men are greater bodily stable, designed for hard artwork. i do no longer see something incorrect with recognizing that super distinction. Discrimination is yet another rely. regardless of whether a individual thinks a woman could be barefoot and pregnant, if that individual hires her to a place and could pay her decrease than her male counterpart for the comparable artwork, it fairly is incorrect. by way of the comparable token, I even have an issue with a feminist who says that i'm unfulfilled, have succumbed to a male-ruled subculture, have betrayed my gender, or maybe if by way of fact I boost my babies as my day activity (my evening activity, my evening activity, etc.) yet by way of a strategies my best problem with feminism is the theory women are "entitled" to each little thing, as much as and which comprise willfully conceiving babies and then destroying them interior the womb. i think of a real, self-respecting feminist might anticipate from herself and from women everywhere the diploma of duty it takes to keep away from undesirable pregnancies or own as much as the implications of one's own movements. so a strategies as homosexuality, the Bible is obvious. it fairly is doubtless one in all the sins that separate human beings from their God and it demands forgiveness no much less, and much less, than any of them. a individual is a sinner by way of fact of what they do. there's no question that there are various very style, solid-hearted gay human beings; my own adventure with gay human beings has been valuable around the board. that doesn't substitute the shown fact that those human beings stay exterior of the will of God and ought to repent, basically as much as a liar, a thief, an adulterer, a hater, etc. is living exterior of the will of God and needs to repent. it is to no longer single out gays. Sin is sin.
