He's speaking directly to the Pharisees but it's a lesson for all of us.
Vs 33- You can tell what a man's made of by looking at his life, his children, finances, recreation etc.
vs 34-the way a man talks is an indicator or how he feels inside.
vs 35-(please reread this) I think it says a good man brings good things out of his storehouse and it is his deeds..
vs 36-be aware of what you say and how you speak because words are indicative of who you really are and you'll be held accountable by God.

33. Jesus is comparing humans to fruit trees.
A tree is recognized by it's fruits, or in a humans case, their qualities and characteristics.
34. How can evil people say good when their heart is evil?
35. The good man turns the negativities into positives and makes the best of situations
36. on the day of Judgment everyone will stand before Him and will be condemned for their past they haven't asked forgiveness of.
In general, Jesus is speaking to everyone.. past, present & future.

He was speaking to the so called, religious leaders of that day..
Matt: 12:4 Or have you not read in the law that on the sabbath the priests serving in the temple violate the sabbath and are innocent?
I say to you, something greater than the temple is here.
He is trying to quote from the book of Matt...chapter 12...

He was speaking to all of us. Simply speaking, fruit is what your life produces, either good or bad. For out of our mouths issues either blessings or curses, life or death, unless a man never speaks {a man is most often wise when he is silent} his true self {heart} is revealed in the good or evil he speaks.
The words of condemnation and unforgiveness
will be the same ones we will be judged by.
So speak life, love ,mercy, forgiveness and shalom into everyones life.

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
You have taken your verses from the NIV, I have taken mine from the KJ. endng up in the same place. Jesus said this to the Pharisees.
