Nobody here is going to be able to help you. Holding on to feelings this long is a sign that you need to see a therapist. I would personally recommend that you see a psychotherapist instead of a psychiatrist...just so you can talk out your problems and they can show you how to fix them...without medicine!! I've been in your shoes...except I let my pain go on for FOUR YEARS before I sought help. I would have given anything to know what I know now...that help is out there, and it's so easy to get!!
It WILL get better, I promise you. Just hang in there.

I think it's something in the air. Men just seem to seek what they know they shouldn't have!
In my opinion, what I think you should do is move on. Yes, there is someone better out there. Someone who won't bring you down and get you feeling the way you do. Like the saying says " the only person who is worth crying over, never makes you cry"

Of course it hurts. You are a wonderful girl, and truly tried to
help him.Yes, I am sure the suicide threats did more than number on you, loving him so much also.
I would advise you to get let him be. Get out there and
get yourself a wonderful happy life...It will take time.
You deserve it. Now its your time to live and not worry.
Truly feel for you.

You have heard the expression "No good deed goes unpunished" right? That's what happened to you. You did a good deed and helped this guy and he turned his back on you. You need to think about it rationally. You are much better off without someone with mental problems who is ungrateful and nasty. Can you imagine how miserable your life would be with him in it?
If you cannot think clearly about your situation, you need to get therapy. You are putting yourself through hell for no good reason.

Since you are in your 30s and not some silly teenager, you should know that the best way to get past this is to forgive him because he was not in his right mind, quit trying to come up with ways to get him back, and get on with your life. Why are you hanging onto this? If he comes back, does that prove something to you? What? You let him have it, you say, so put an end to it and find something else to do.

to be hurt is part of the game of love, learn to face the fact that you can never have all the things you wanted even if you'll do everything just to get it. Just try to move on.....get away from the misery of yesterday and face the shining face of tomorrow............okiez
Welcome........
