I am 56 and love to sew. I want to buy some patterns from when my 28 year old daughter was little and make a dress like she used to wear for her baby, 15 mo. and as she grows etc. I loved Gunne Sax. When I was young we appreciated most of what someone hand made for us, but I think now children's clothing, even babies has become so fashionable, my daughter wouldn't want to get these, I can't ask her.

I know Mommy,my daughter was always a GAP girl, jeans simple t shirts. I am a Daisy Kingdom type but she hates that, and that is OK. I know when I last saw my grand she had on denim light blue overalls that had embroidery on the legs , light embroidery like trailing flowers and she said she liked that and she like gymboree style ????

As the mother of a two-year-old girl, I recommend that you make soft, durable clothes in comfortable fabrics. I have lots of stiff, dressy dresses for my daughter that people have given to us, and my daughter never wears them. Look up Zutano and Hanna Andersson clothes on the web for some ideas of what is cute and comfortable.
