I wash not only with water, but cleanser, toner and other things. I do use lotion afterwards too.

Is it bad for my skin to clean so much in a day?

Usually, I wake up at around 7 and I was my face and so on. I tend to wash 4-5 times a day. The times when I wash, varies.

I only wash when I feel like I need to feel refreshed and/or bored.

This started after Hayden Panettiere's commercial.
I forgot which, but it had the lines:

Washing your face is boring, right?
Tick-Tock-Tick-Tock

WRONG!! *splashes foam at the camera*

Bored? Wash your face!

If I do that, my skin first gets very dry (since I'm constantly washing the oil away) and as a reaction to the dryness, later on my skin starts secreting ALOT of oil. That makes me ugly, plus it encourages acne development. If I was going to wash my face all the time, I would definitely need moisturizer. But for people who don't have dryness or oiliness problems, I think it's okay to wash your face when you're bored.

lol.i have the same problem as you. i tend to wash my face when im bored or feel like it. i think in the long run, your skin will be aggravated too much and your skin will be damaged. wash your face only 2-3 times a day. btw, what sort of toner do you use? is it good for everyday use? effects?

Sounds like OCB. Face washing with water alone would be just fine if you are doing it that much. Maybe switch to water only and then deal with the OCB after.

if you have acne it probably will do you some good to be this clean, otherwise I would cut back to no more that 3 times a day, give your face some time to recover from the excess scrubbing.start washing just your hands instead, they will always need it

end! end putting a lot products on your face! that's the worst factor you're able to do. purely wash your face contained in the morning once you awaken and wash it contained in the night earlier you bypass to mattress. the only time in between is that in case you labored out contained in direction of the day or have been doing backyard artwork or been in a dusty room. different than that, you're purely doing to a lot on your epidermis. that is cool in case you opt to alter up what you wash with contained in the morning and wash with something diverse contained in the night yet do no longer do what you're doing.
