When apply for a credit card and it asks you for proof of your gross annual income, what paper should I submit. Will a T4 slip be correct, or a year ending pay stub from 2006?

I've never seen it ask for you to supply proof .. just write in the amount. They can verify your income.

What the income for the year would be. You do realize the Federal Law in the USA since Feb. 2010 is you must be 21 yrs of age to apply for a credit card

Over the years I've had many credit cards, none have ever asked me to prove my income.

My suggestion: Find another credit card offer and forget the one that has asked for proof. I would not trust the latter.

You shouldn't have to submit this just for a credit card, but if you do, your last two paychecks would be sufficient.
