Of course this depends on the upkeep of the car and what your requirements are of the vehicle. Just as any vehicle in consideration, the proper upkeep is essential. Compared to any new vehicle the older the Mustang, the less refined it will seem. Advances in technology and chasis design have brought it a long way since it's inception. However given their steady value and appeal to the general public, I would consider the Ford Mustang a good car no matter how old.

That depends on the condition like every car. The older 65 67 were simple cars they are easy to work on there are lots of parts available and cheap to run. the 68-72 were more complex better built and cost more. don't touch the mustang 2. the only good part was the steering system.I had a 69 428 CJ automatic a 95gt 5spd stick and a 65 red with a 260 three speed.

It depends on what you mean by a good car. If you are looking for a car with the reliability and creature comforts of a modern car, no they are not. If you considering it on it's own merit for what it is, then yes it is a good car. They are very popular and have an unmistakable style. They get lots of looks when you drive them. They require more attention than modern cars but are a lot easier to work on or to troubleshoot. I have both. A 2006 vehicle as a daily driver and a 1969 Cougar and a 1965 Mustang for fun.

Mustangs would be deathly severe on insurance. you will possibly be 2 or thrice as much as a undemanding 4 door of the comparable classic. I wont even get into the mileage you are able to desire to be finding at because of the fact your insruance would be too severe. Why do not you call an insurance enterprise and ask them for a quote. there are additionally a lot of websites that publicize loose expenditures like modern. perhaps you are able to desire to provide that a try previously you get your heart set on a mustang.

the mustangs in the 60's were some of the most dangerous cars because they had a metal steering wheel and dashboard, no airbags, the gas tank would occasionally explode etc.
they obviously got better technology but they also got uglier w/ the years i really like the newer mustangs but that's probably not what you're looking for

Depends on who is driving it, what frequency they are driving. I thought of buying my daughter one, but decided not too do it to not knowing when it would break down.
For myself it would be dependent on how far on a daily basis I would drive it. Unless you go through it from top to bottom, it would only be good for the weekend.
Older cars definitely have character, some good, some very bad.

How old are you talking? 60's, 70's, 80's? You have to be more specific. Later 70's and early 80's are terrible. Stay away from them. I hate all fords but those are the ones to stay away from.
