One of the questions to my history textbook reads:
Examine the maps on the end leafs and pg.10....

What does it mean by "end leafs"?

It's the inside of the front cover plus the front of the first page, and the inside of the back cover plus the back of the last page.

The pages of any book are often called "leaves" (like the leaves of a tree). You can "leaf" through a book (flip through the pages) Soo-- the "end leafs" of a book are just that-- the last pages of a book which can be the inside surfaces of the covers and the very adjacent pages. Many adventure books use those "pages" on which to display a map of the area associated with the story.
