I can tell you EXACTLY why. You have shut off your body's metabolism because you arent eating enough. When you dont get a minimum amount of calories, your metabolism slows way down and only turns on to digest your food. if you eat all throughout the day, at least 1200 calories a day, your metabolism will start back up and burn fat ALL DAY LONG. Also, get some exercise into your routine. losing weight is as simple as burning more calories than you are intaking. if you are intaking 1000 calories a day, but your RMR (resting metabolic rate) is extremely low, say 600, you wont lose a thing. boost that by kickstarting your metabolism early in the morning, having a yogurt or eggs or something, and keep eating small, healthy snacks all througout the day. Your body is in "preserve" mode right now, and the only thing you are burning are your muscles. Start exercising and actually eating right and you should see good results.

Best way to curb appetites is to drink water throughout the day. Drinking water in between bites for meals helps you digest better and it helps you slow down. Also, have a tight sleeping schedule! Sleep helps you regenerate and if you don't have enough or have too much, that throws off your metabolism so weight could be a problem because it's not consistent. You should be happy with yourself, keep yourself off the scale, too, because counting the number on your weight scale will just frustrate you more. Most people tend to think of it as the fat being weighed, but they never take the consideration of how much muscle is also being weighed along with the rest of your body. Hope this helps!

If you want to lose weight the most healthy way is the Herbalife Shapeworks program. This stuff is great because you get great energy and at the same time you can lose up to 15 to 30 pounds in one month depending on how big you are and your body. Anyway you can get a free sample pack plus shipping costs that includes 3 days worth of samples and a DVD and several other packets of info on the products. Go to www.mydiet4u.com to order one and you will also be assigned a nutrition coach that walks you through everything and kinda is there to keep the boot in the rear to keep you true to the diet so that you see results and meet your goal. And the price all depends on how much weight your trying to lose or if you just want to gain energy. Just check it out you might like it. Good luck and I hope this helps.

I know how hard it is to lose the last little bit, because I'm there with you right now. I asked my doc about this and he said, stop worrying about it....I looked good where I'm at and if being a size 10 is where I stay then great. Also, he said that your body regenerated itself every 6 months or so. So, keep at it...(although I think you eat too little calories), exercise regularly, cut out junk and eat well balanced meals and keep your calories between 1200 to 1500 calories a day. My weight is so slowly coming off but you know you have to be happy with yourself and where you are, because it could be worse.

600 calories a day is not enough. When you starve yourself it slows your body's metabolism down, so it makes it much harder to lose weight. Sometimes this pattern of starving and eating regularly actually causes you to gain weight.
You need to eat a better diet, with an emphasis on lean protein and good carbs. Next you need to start exercising with a combination of aerobic exercise and light weight training. You may initially gain a few pounds of muscle, but soon you will begin to lose weight when the lean muscle you are gaining causes your metabolism to speed up. Good luck, and be healthy!

You need to add exercise into your day. Eating healthy is a good step to take, now you need to WORK the weight off. A possible reason why you don't gain weight might be because you have good metabolism and your body can work it off without problem, but that doesn't mean lose weight though.

Your weight is normal and healthy for your height. You don't need to lose weight and your body knows it. Your body will adjust its metabolism up or down to maintain weight on the number of calories you are supplying.
