My girlfriend and I have been together for 3 yrs. She has been lying to me eversince. I decided I would deal with to see if she would change.She promised she would. For a short while when she lied or did something I didnt agree with, when I asked her about it she would cry. Now everytime I ask her to explain something or why she did something she gives me an answer that doesnt answer my question, and if I dont accept it she cries. But as you can probably guess by now I dont feel that the crying is sincere.Because the things she was doing before are the same problems we are having now but I just get the same results ....Tears....Help????If you understand what Im trying to say....

more than likely that is what she used to to do with her daddy. to get out of touble. and you know the saying girls allways marry their fathers. in my opion she is a spoiled little Brat and you need to move on. but you may like her alot i dont know that is just the way i am i feel that women should be treated the same as men. and that kind of behavior would never be accepted from a man.

Your girlfriend seems as if she may have a medical or psychological problem . Why does she need to lie all the time ? Has she been on drugs ? Is there a reason why she could be afraid of you or your displeasure ? Do you try to control her life in every way , belittle her shortcomings ?
Forgive me if I play " Devils Advocate " unjustly . If you are kind and gentle and putting up with lies for three years ; maybe your girlfriend is a bad lot and you shouldn't have tollerated her lies all this time . Perhaps you are too soft and tears make you all forgiving .
If none of this applies , you should leave this girl , tears or not and find another girl who doesn't lie all the time .

The easiest answer is dump her...but you both have been together for 3 years...so that is a lot of emotions that go along...its not easy to get over such long relations...
You need to talk to her about this and when she cries you need to still talk it out...then she will understand that there is no way out because you will still confront... as unlike earlier when you would soften up and in turn cajole her...
Also remember she might be crying or faking it because she is too scared that she may lose you ...you need to make that clear... if she still goes the wrong way...then forgiveness will be there but with a break if she continues on... instead she has to turn around...

She sounds emotionally unstable. First of all, why would you stay with someone who lies? I can't stand anyone who lies myself. Crying is an emotion. She gets busted, the emotion of crying shows. Some people sweat, others twitch, there's many emotional signs people display when not being truthful. My suggestion would be move on...you will be a family man one day, is this the person you want to have around teaching your children. And don't forget yourself as well, does she really love you?

Sweetie, I'm a female. When my husband and I were married 34 years ago, he was upset one, because some bimbo, who didn't get her way, started the crying routine. He felt really sorry for her, until I went from laughing to crying in an instant, and then back to laughing. Yes I taught the trick to my son's also. We can turn it on and off any time we want to with no problem. Females lose when it comes to the crying machine.

You are right, she is using crying to avoid situations.
Don't be a pushover. You have invested '3' years of your life into this relationship - that's a long time.
You have to decide if it is worth being taken for a fool, and determine your self worth.
Is she demonstrating love toward you with her behavior?
She's not even giving you any kind of respect.
I think you deserve better than that.

You can decide you've had enough and move on (which would probably be my choice) or every time she cries tell her you'll wait 'til she's done and then you expect an honest answer to the question.
Sounds like she's got some issues though, maybe a pathological liar...you may just want to cut your losses and move on.

WHat is she lieing about? Anyway about the crying ting. She learned that us men cant stand the thought that we made our girlfriends cry. So heres how to get over it. Ask again. You dont have to fear that she'll dump you bc shes not really angry at you
Edit: I noticed that alot of people are saying to break up with her which seems like the way to go but they cant really imagine how you can just give her up after 3 years. Tell her that if she lies again your breaking up with her. If she starts crying, tough crap. Its what she deserves

I'm just curious what she is lying about, and why you are still with her if she has continued to do it. I need more details on this question. If she's not even caring enough about you to quit crying long enough to communicate with you, she is using it as an escape---who can blame her, it has worked up until now.

She know how to get to you, she using the crying to play with your weakness, tell her the fake tear willn't work anymore you are sick of the way she playing these game. She need to grow up and face the situations that she been getting her self into.
