There's this guy at work who smells BAD! He's been there longer than most and has earned the respect of higher ups for his skills...nobody wants to offend the guy or be rude to him, but gosh he makes an entire room smelly!

What's a classy way of handling the situation?

Our HR dept is in a different state and it's next to impossible to reach them.

I had same problem, I sent an anon letter to HR and person himself. Gets point across and you dont take heat for it.

Buy some deodorant, soap and other toiletries and put them in a bag in his office with an anonymous typed note suggesting he put these items to use. My husband and some of his colleagues did this to someone. It worked wonders.

talk to human resources- most companies have policy on appearance and "presence"...he may have a medical condition though

complain to upper management & maybe a subtle, anonymous, (not rude or feelings hurting) note left for him.
