I HAVE THESE TWO COUSINS WHO BOTH ARE SISTERS AND ARE REALLY CLOSE TO ME. I DON'T WANT TO CHOOSE ONE OF THEM BECAUSE THEY BOTH WANT TO BE MAID OF HONOR AND I DON'T WANT TO HURT ANYBODY BY ONLY CHOOSING ONE AND NOT THE OTHER...WILL IT LOOK BAD IF I HAD TWO MAIDS OF HONOR?

Hon, It is YOUR wedding. It is YOUR day. Have as many Maids of Honors as you want to. No one gets to decide what YOU want at YOUR wedding but YOU..
Well and your hubby to be of course.. LOL

Peace & God bless from Texas. <><

No, it will not look bad. Many people have a number of maids of honor. If you can't choose between the two, its always best to have 2. If you only choose 1, you might feel bad and guilty and you don't want to feel that way on your wedding day.

Hi and congratulations!

I work in a church office and have done many wedding programs. I can tell you from experience that this is not uncommon (2 maids of honor). The only thing will be.....there will be 1 that will actually be doing the duties (i.e., fixing your dress, holding your flowers during the vows, etc.). But it is nice to list both. Maybe somehow they can both share the duties. Again, this will not "look bad". Contrary, I think it is very sweet of you to be thinking of both your cousins. Good luck!

You would do better to have two brides maids and no maid of honor. You can have two I suppose but what are you gonna do about the role of the Maid of Honor? Are they gonna tag team you or both of them are gonna carry rings to give you? You are showing signs of mush spine. Stiffen it up with a dose of courage and pick one or the other. If they get upset over this they are not very good friends. they can see the dilema here as clearly as you can so them should be expecting you to pick one or the other. Get some guts and make a choice

there is nothing wrong with having them both being in the honor of your marriage. Its your wedding and your day, you make it the way you want,.Its better to have them both in the wedding as maids of honor then having to choice and feeling hated and not having a good day on your big day. They both might not like both having the same part but its better to have the 2 best friends there for you then not having them there.

Honey its your wedding you make th shots not anyone else. There are no rules to a wedding. CONGRATULATIONS AND YOU BOTH FIND LOVE AND HAPPYNESS!!

If one is married she can be a matron of honor and an unmarried one can be a maid of honor. so if thats the case, then prolem solved. but its your wedding I think that as long as they are agreeable then there is no reason why you cant have both share the same role, they can work as a team to make sure that everything goes as it should. and simply be designated as co-maids of honor.

You can 2. I am have a maid and matron of honor, since my sister is married and my best friend isn't. So I get to do two.

Well you have to decide, which is worse, disappointing a cousin or looking somewhat dumb at your wedding. Personally I would just have two maids of honor. Who cares?

It is your day so the attention will be on you anyway. I had two best men at my wedding so I say go for it. Actually, I think having your two cousins (that you obviously adore) in your wedding in this capacity is a touching and wonderful gesture. In the future when you look back on your day I believe your thoughts will be filled with extremely fond memories instead of ones of regret and knowing that there were hurt feelings.

No, it won't look bad. It is totally acceptable to have more than one Maids of Honor. You would simply list/mention them as such in your program or announcement. Hopefully they will both be equally as helpful to you during your wedding preparations.
