Look up how to introduce cats to each other (websearch). To start with you'll have them in separate rooms, so you'll need two litter boxes. So they'll each have their "own" litter box. As they get more comfortable with each other, they'll cease to care whose litter box is whose, and will "share". So then you'd only need one litter box, but you'll have to change it twice as often!

Ask who you're getting the new cat from or your vet for more advice, but as long as they aren't super territorial there shouldn't be a problem.

As long as you're getting your new cat from a reputable breeder or animal shelter, you shouldn't have to worry about infections/diseases, as they will have done testing before they release their animals. And they will be up to date on their shots.

You'll need to change it more often, but it usually doesn't bother them. I have two cats, and use two litter boxes, but they each go in both boxes. As long as they are kept pretty clean, I don't think they'll mind. Just remember to introduce them slowly and have them spayed or neutered so you don't have cats you don't want and will end up unwanted in a shelter.

They can use the same litter box but remember it will have to emptied more often. Also it already has the older cat's smell in it. but because they are both so young I do not see a problem.

Yes they can, however, I'd probably suggest you have at least 2 litter pans in the house if possible not only because they are fairly young, but because cats can be wierd about the litter pan. Keep it very clean!

Yes, they can. But it's best to have one litter box per cat if possible. So, if they need to use it at the same time. But they won't get infected if they're both healthy

They can, but they might not want to. It's best to have at least one box per cat. As long as they're both young they probably won't mind, but they will grow up and adults are less likely to share a box.

Yes, they can, but it is really preferable to have at least one litter box per cat. In addition, many cats prefer to do one business in one litter box, and the other business in another litter box. (And despite having multiple litter boxes, sometimes my cats seem to do all their business in just one litter box.)

We have 5 cats who all use the same box, so I don't see why your two can't share as well.

No. As a matter of fact, with 2 cats you should have a minimum of 3 boxes.
