I had a really bad panic attack from when I was assaulted a month ago and I pulled into what I thought was the grocery store parking lot. It turned out that I was actually in parking lot for the firefighters next door.
They came out and were extremely nice, one held my hand until it passed, and another entertained my kids with a tour of the firehouse.

I see it everyday in my jr. high students from the young man that won't let me carry anything heavier than a book to the kids of both sexes that help their classmates when they drop something or don't quite get something and are too shy to ask for help. I see it when they high five the little kids. I see it when the 8th grade girls befriend a mentally handicapped girl so people won't tease her. I see it in their always wanting to do something when there is a natural disaster. I see it in the way they always hold doors open. That's all I can think of right now, but I'm sure there are things I've forgotten.

Kindness has everything to do with R&S. If we want to see more kindness, we have to embody it. We cannot wait for everyone else. If you want to see the power of kindness, and whether or not it exists in this world, start by showing kindness to everyone you encounter. Family, yes, friends, yes, but also total strangers. Sometimes a smile is the kindest thing you can give.
You will get more back than you ever give. Kindness will grow exponentially in your life. It all begins with each one of us. We will see in this world what we are.

---IT IS A FRUITAGE of God's holy spirit, of course it belongs on this page!
(Galatians 5:22-23) “. . .On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
*** it-2 p. 153 Kindness ***
The quality or state of taking an active interest in the welfare of others; friendly and helpful acts or favors. The principal word for “kindness” in the Christian Greek Scriptures is khre·sto′tes. Jehovah God takes the lead and is the best example of one showing kindness in so many ways toward others, even toward the unthankful and wicked, encouraging them to repentance. (Lu 6:35; Ro 2:4; 11:22; Tit 3:4, 5) Christians, in turn, under the kindly yoke of Christ (Mt 11:30), are urged to clothe themselves with kindness (Col 3:12; Eph 4:32) and to develop the fruitage of God’s spirit, which includes kindness. (Ga 5:22) In this way they recommend themselves as God’s ministers. (2Co 6:4-6) “Love is . . . kind.”—1Co 13:4.
--“Kindness” (or, reasonableness; literally, yieldingness; Gr., e·pi·ei·ki′a) is an outstanding characteristic of Christ Jesus. (2Co 10:1, ftn) Paul was treated with unusual “human kindness” (literally, affection for mankind; Gr., phi·lan·thro·pi′a) by the inhabitants of Malta.—Ac 28:2, ftn
--OF INTEREST IS a different act of "loving kindness" as is expressed if one takes the chance of losing a friendship because of a needed warning or caution brought to ones attention--
(Psalm 141:5) “5 Should the righteous one strike me, it would be a loving-kindness; And should he reprove me, it would be oil upon the head, Which my head would not want to refuse. For still there would be even my prayer during their calamities.”
--SO IF SOMEONE might be on the verge of committing adultery, and you as a friend see the earmarks, it would be a true kindness to make your observation known , in order to save that family from a lot of grief!

There was an extremely hungry child on the street the other day, and he looked beat down.
He was asking every person who passed by to buy him one bread from the nearby bakery.
No one even bothered to look at him.
Except for one person, she bought him a couple of breads and some drinks too.
Kindness has not died yet ladies and gentleman :)

A monk asked Chao-chou, “What is the meaning of Bodhidharma’s coming from the West?” [This is like asking, "What is the meaning and purpose of Zen?", which is kind of like asking, "What is the meaning and purpose of anything?"]
Chao-chou said, “The oak tree in the courtyard.”
A later Zen monk wrote this poem as an "explanation" of Chao-chou's observation:
Nothing whatsoever to say:
This singing of the pine trees,
Answering without being asked.
Sometimes it's all kindness.

I see kindness all around me. I have a husband that dotes over me, I have a son and daughter that love me and all of them are always doing kind things.
Also, just a smile or a pat on the back, which I receive daily, are kindnesses and enrich the heart.

Kindness is one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22,23.
It appears to be disappearing in contemporary society. On the other hand, God has shown great kindness to me.
