your lab is trying to show the puppy he is the leader, that the puppy comes last. Correct the lab when he gets on top of the puppy. One way of doing this is by making your lab lay down of his side for a couple of minutes ( if possible sometimes dogs can be hard to handle) and let the puppy roam about near the lab, this shows the lab that he is not in control of the puppy but you are in control of both.

beepbeep has got what you need. We had a problem, with aggression, when my grandson brought home a new 8 week old APBT. Our 4 year old APBT would growl and snap at the puppy, not in a friendly way. So we could not let the puppy down in the house. My grandson just happened to watch an episode of "Dog Whisper" that just happened to do with aggression. So as was said he made the older Pit lay down and brought the puppy. When the older one started to growl he put hid hand on the Pits head and said shuuuu. It took no tome at all and the problem was solved. It is so funny now to see a 55 lb Pit running through the house with a bone in her mouth and a 12 lb Pit on the other end of the bone. The play all the time.

Are you intense? this is your puppy Lab anmd you opt to place her by means of breeding for the 1st actual time at 6 years of age? WHY????? there is not any reason to reproduce this dogs, she is purely too old for a ordinary muddle, she has probable in no way had each and every of the suitable wellness screening assessments for her breed, like hip scoring eye assessments, etc. And NO you surely do on no account breed a muddle from a b*tch at each and every warmth cycle! i do no longer understand approximately different Kennel club's however the KC interior the united kingdom won't sign up a muddle from a Bi*tch that has whelped extra advantageous than as quickly as in any 365 days. Please examine the concerns below and do your undesirable puppy a favour by ability of having her spayed in the previous she has puppies. #

One dog getting on top of another is not sexual, it's a dominance thing. Your older dog is just showing the pup who's boss. Dogs have a way of working out the pecking order on their own. Unless someone is getting hurt..let them figure out their relationship.

No No NO !! Your old dog is just telling the pup he is top dog in the house. He is showing the pup he is the dominant male. I hope the older dog is neutered, If not you will have trouble when that Saint gets bigger.

He might think he's a female or showing that he's domenant, some dogs(even females) do that to express that they're the "top dog" if you're not sure ask a vet about what to do.
