a sin? Why is premarital sex a sin? shouldnt a real man, christian or not, love his wife for who she is and not if she has had lovers before? and if premarital sex is a sin, why cant people masturbate? Does that mean that pleasuring each other after marriage is also a sin if one isnt not allowed to even pleasure themselves?

and i dont mean to be blunt, crude whatever, but what about oral?anal? swallowing? are those sins as well?

If you see the bible as the literal word of God (I don't, but it's respectable), then good news, masturbation was never officially declared a sin in the bible. It's only been interpreted that way by people who think it's "icky." Premarital sex.... That is indeed a sin in some peoples' eyes. I don't see a problem with it as long as you don't sleep around, but there are definitely better people to ask than a humble pantheist such as myself.

I am not a Bible thumper, hell I don't even go to church or recognize a correct religion but I did stay at Holiday Inn, JK!!

To answer your question about masturbation and the other three sexual acts they each waste the "seed" of the father. Remember that most religions do not see sex as an act of love but as a means of expanding the flock. Each time that the seed is wasted a member of the flock is lost. As for sex without marriage, this would mean that a member would be born without membership to a tribe as membership was passed down from father to son. It is also a sin because the only begin who can have a child without consummation is God.

So now then in reality the latter was formed by society as a means of population control. Forbidding sex before marriage allowed for the man to become self sustaining. Those that could not find work and feed the family were not allowed to bring more people into the community.

From a Biblical perspective, I don't think masturbation is a sin. There is something about "spilling his seed" in the OT, but we follow the New Testament now, so it's not a sin.

Pre-marital sex is a sin according to God. The bible clearly states that if two people can't control themselves, it's better that they marry, rather than burn with passion.

Pretty much anything between a husband and wife is fine as long as both are willing. The link below has great advice for Christian couples with questions.

1. Because you are cheating on your spouse (or future spouse) with...yourself!

2. Because when you masturbate, you are probably also thinking about illicit sexual activities. "But I say unto you, whosoever so much as looks at a woman with lust in his heart..." etc.

Well, those ARE two traditional answers.

Should you love your wife regardless of her past? "Yes," answer all the Christians in unison. Her sins (and all have sinned) are between her and God. Christians are however divided on the question of what exactly counts as sin, with liberals and conservatives taking predictable stances.

Homosexuality is condemned in several places, as is fornication and adultery, but the Bible does not go into detail about specific sex acts (other than Onan's use of the withdrawal method of birth control). At the same time, the Bible also prescribes things that we would think immoral--such as the Old Testament requirement that a rapist marry his victim. Liberal Christians would say that most of the Bible's sexual prescriptions are similarly outdated.

The only one you mentioned that is NOT a sin is "to pleasure each other after marriage." It should be PRIVATE and SACRED between the married couple. If God did not want it to be pleasureable, why would He give us the senses for it??? WHY is people so hung up on masturbation??? Just like the song, "For no one knows what goes on behind closed doors." KEEP IT PRIVATE. It's better that way!

God designed sex to be within the confines of a permanently committed relationship, marriage. After that, the sky is the limit for enjoyment. We "Theists" are not lacking 'fun' as some would accuse us.

As far as the big "M", there is much argument on that. There is nothing scripturally which condemns it, but some would argue that doing so due to lust after someone (even a picture of another, i.e. porn) would be sin, mostly because of the lust factor.

If you are a Christian, then anything that feels good to your body is a sin. You are supposed to die pious, horny, and broke. Which is why I highly recommend atheism.

They aren't sins. There is no such thing as 'sin'... It's a natural thing. Do what you want, what you like, as long as you don't hurt anyone in the process.
