Electric hand dryers can be an alternative to paper hand towels. But a trade-off exists between the environmental benefits of eliminating paper and potential health problems caused when high-velocity air blows bacteria and contaminated water OFF the hands not on the hands. .

Plus the electric hand dryers are filtered. It's more healthy and hygienic. Two things in physics are involved. The first is pressure. The air from the hand dryer is coming at a speed
strong enough to push the excess moisture off your hands. The second thing involved is- heat- which causes evaporation. Most hand and dryers suggest rubbing your hands together.as they dry. This provides friction and more evaporation. of the moisture off your hands.

It's more clean.and sanitary. The users don't share the germs on their hands before the use of the dryers. Esp when you touch surfaces that others also do like the paper towel dispenser. .

The problem with electric hand dryers is they don't work--your hands don't get dry. So you wipe them on your clothes--which are not sanitary by any means. So you get germs on your hands. It's why I loathe those dryers and wish more places would have the towels.
