He has a boil/wart/growth on the very end of his tail. It looks like a hemmoroid but its on his tail, not as butt. He is a yorkie so he has a very short tail, and all the way on the end is like a tic tac. Its a really full boil/growth that looks like it has some liquid inside of it. I want to pop it just because I think he's in pain and I think it will stay that way until he pops it with his teeth while licking it, or biting it.

Should I heat a safety pin and pop it, then disinfect it with some alcohol and piroxide ? or should I wait to see if it goes away, or should I bring him to the vet, which will undoubtely cost me 150 dollars or more for them to tell me what it is, and for them to pretty much pop it and do the same thing I would do. Thank you.

also, it might even be a tick. it would have to be deeply embedded under the skin...it could be a tick, or it could be a blister that's stretching the skin. My eyes could be playing tricks on me, but it does have a shape a tick, and I might even be able to see legs attached to the skin. I dont think I can pull it out with tweezers though, I might have to take it to the vet for them to remove it.

I would use alcohol to clean it and put neosporin on it. I can't tell you to pop it because I don't' know what it looks like. If it was just a water blister type thing, I would pop it on my dog.

Boil/wart/growth, you don't even know what it is. It could be something that if you bust it, will bleed and not stop.
Take the pup to the vet.
It could be a cancerous tumor which you should know about.

If it is a wart or a growth, leave it alone it could be cancer and you could make it grow more or spread it. If you don't like it take your dog to the vet and they can safely remove it.

Could be just a cyst and the Vet will be able to puncture it and drain it, as well as irrigate and look for any foreign substance that may have caused it. You don't want to mess with it at home in case it is actually a cancerous growth. Let the professionals tend to it.

I would definitely take him to the vet. I know it is costly, but they can numb it before popping it. If you try to do it at home, he may bite you, just because of the pain. Also, it could be more than just a boil. You can do what you want, but if it was my pup, I would spend the money at the vet. Good Luck.

THIS IS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT: SEEK MEDICAL TREATMENT IMMEDIATELY. You, not your canine, may be in imminent danger. When a dog makes an audible popping noise, it is almost always an indicator that your pet is about to emit a venomous gas that is extremely toxic to humans. If you are unable to contact your local poison control center, the best short-term solution is to isolate your animal outside your house and seek a well-ventilated shelter.

Take it to the vet if you think it hurts. If it doesn't seem to hurt leave it alone for a few days and see how it looks then. Thrust me if it does or doesn't hurt now its going to be killing the dog once you pop it

Take it to the vet. 150 dollars is pretty pricy for an exam. You're right they'll probably pop it too, but they'll be able to tell you what's inside.

I know vet's are expensive but you don't want to risk an infection which would be much more expensive. Take him to the vet.
