I am SO sorry.... I couldn't even imagine if I had to see that happen to my kitty :( If it makes you feel any better vets can do amazing things. My husband was driving along the road 16 years ago and found a young kitten laying on the side of the road w/ "his guts hanging out" as he described it. He took it to the vet to get it put to sleep but the vet handed him back! So I bet your baby kitty will be ok...

What kind of prognosis did the vet give you for his recovery? It may have appeared much worse than it was. All you can do is think positive. I'm sorry, I can't imagine how you must feel, I have two cats whom I love and I would be heartbroken. Hope for the best while you wait, but prepare yourself for the worst. I hope he recovers soon.

The only thing you can do is check with the vet on how she/he is doing and hope that it all goes well, I hope it does and good luck. Just try to stay calm and remember she/he is in good hands.

Stay calm, the vet will do everything they can to help your cat. I know it's awful to have seen, but they woulnd't be trying to treat it if they didn't think it was able to be helped. They'll do all they can.

poor kitty. too bad you didn't keep him inside and this would never have happend to that poor kitty. I'm so happy that I love my cats so I keep them inside where they belong.

I feel horriable for the person who hit your cat. that had to have been very traumatic for them.
