Make sure you're working out. Concentrate on the things they will certainly test you on - running, sit ups, push ups, pull ups, etc.
Do brush up on your grammar and syntax (accepted, not excepted). If you use the wrong word in a report, it can haunt you later.
Read that handbook. Eat well. Sleep now. Prepare your brain to be strong and get through it.
Good luck!

Be ready for the physical training; but also be ready for the academics. Study and don't assume that it will come to you by divine intervention. Also, many recruits fail because they can't drive that big 'ol police car through the cone course (they're not used to rear-wheel drive or full size sedans). Another area the fails some folks is firearms, some people just can't shoot and won't learn.
Close your mouth and open your mind if you want to do well.
Oh, get a highschool English book. You were ACCEPTED, not EXCEPTED. Report writing is essential to police work and writing good ones keeps you from looking foolish in court.

About the only thing you can do is to try and get into better physical shape while waiting to get in. You really have no control of the training.

If you were accepted you are most of the way there! congratulations. There are getting degrees and then there are getting degrees via the academy. Keep up whatever you've been doing. Best of luck, do your best, and congratulations again.

Prepare by taking an English class. You were accepted, not excepted. Report writing is a main responsibility in police work. I've failed trainees for poor grammar.

Learn to spell. You got accepted, not excepted. You can lose court cases because of poorly written reports.
