A woman from Seneca College has put together a nice reference that illustrates how to integrate quotes into essays. The page also includes another link. Good luck with your writing.

If it's more than about five or ten lines (ask your teacher for clarification) you should do a separate paragraph for just the quotes. Indent an extra space on either side and be sure to use quotation marks from every direct quote. Also, at the end of the quote, use a parenthetical citation (Author last name, [comma] page number). At the end of your essay or report, have a separate "Works Cited" page where you list the resources that you have used, alphabetically by the author's last name. Then you would also need to list the name of the book or journal that you got your quote from, the publisher, date published, and relevant page numbers, if any.

Hope this helps!

Just remember, better to quote stuff and be certain than to not use quotation marks/resources and get a "0" for plagiarzing.

You do not need to start a new paragraph. Work it into your paragraphs. Lead up it then say something like:

Fances Beaumont onnce wrote, "Beggars must be no choosers."

If it is a long quote, then make it stand alone. Indent further than your paragraphs so that it it stands alone, and it is not even with anything else that you've written.

No you don't. You can just carry on from where you left off. For example I could put: Matt Damon is filming a movie and this was his direct quote "this movie I'm making is going to be fantastic". (That sentence by no means is true but it was just an example).
