ok. I have a standard cable box with the typical 80 channels from Time Warner. But, the problem is that the space where you usually see the time, or channel you're watching, now says "E4" and all I can do when I turn on the cable box is watch the TV guide. I can't switch to any other channel, not even see the current time.

I've tried fussing with all the cables and nothing seems to be fixing this problem.

Any ideas on what happened?
Thanks! : 3

Why dont you ask your cable operator. They'll know exactly what to do. its just a phone away.

E4 is an ERROR code, that your service provider can look up and tell you what to do. It may require the services of a technician, depending on what the error is, or they may just have to provide you with a new box.

Lost Service. Or cable broke to your location.
