No! Tylenol is toxic to dogs. You don't give him anything at all without vet's recommendation. Keep him very quiet for today. If you know where its injured, you can put a heat pack on for about 10 minutes, followed by cold, then heat again. (Of course you put a towel between the dog and the packs so they aren't too hot or too cold.) Repeat in several hours and if he's not better by morning, get him into his vet.

Tylenol is indeed toxic to pets. And the anti to it is often not readily available. We had one case at the vet and almost couldn't find the medicine in time. There was one pharmacy in town that had it in stock and I had to fight traffic to get it back in time!
Aspirin, yes, but ask your vet. You want to make sure you have the dosage right and that you vet doesn't think it's something that needs to be looked at. Not all vets are money hungry monsters-if painkiller will help you dog, your vet will probably tell you so. But if they say you need to go in, get there!

No Tylenol or Advil. Both kill dogs. If you must give it something at home for pain, give it a baby aspirin.

Do not give your dog Tylenol at all. You can, however, give it aspirin.

Absolutely not. Tylenol is toxic to dogs and even more toxic to cats (it can kill them). No dose is safe.
