What about delivering "junk mail" if you are in an area that is safe enough for you to do this or if your parents (or at least one of them) are agreeable to go with you - can be turned into a family exercise time too. This was my son's first job. Maybe by taking over some of the jobs your parents do around the home etc. washing the car, doing the dishes, taking the rubbish out, helping with the laundry etc. But you need to do these jobs without being prompted by your parents, which will also show them you have a responsible side to you for caring for your dog. It's also a good idea to continue doing the odd jobs after you get your dog, so your parents can see you weren't just using them to get what you wanted then forget everything.

Maybe a paper route. Or you could have a yard sale. I'll bet if you look through your stuff you'll find some old toys from your younger days that you'll never play with again.

Another suggestion is to get a dog from a pound instead of a pet shop or breeder. If you get a dog from a store or breeder you could easily pay hundreds of dollars. If you get one from a pound you'll probably pay 50 bucks or less. You probably won't get a puppy, but you'll give a home to a dog who really needs one. And since the amount of money you have to come up with will be much less, then it will be easier to reach your goal.

You said you have to pay for shipping, which if that is for the dog, don't buy from someone that ships the dog unless you know they are reputable. Many websites that ship puppies are scams where you pay the money but you either get a sick and dying puppy or no puppy.
As for making money, babysit, clean people's homes or yards, yardwork, rake leaves, walk dogs, dog sit, etc.

Baby sitting works really well. If you do a lemonade stand on a golf course and you say its so you can help save a dog from the pound, Many people will donate... You can do either... they worked for me...

offer to walk other peoples dogs for a small fee. You will get exercise, learn how to walk with a dog and get some experience with the poop details.
