Today, I recieved a post card in the mail saying that my mom won two airplane tickets to anywhere in U.S. The card said we have to call them as soon as possible to proces the validation number. The airlines was Jet Blue Airways.
Isn't this a big scam or what?

If you think it is a scam then it IS!!!! If you entered a contest then maybe but when you get things out of the blue like that they are usually scams. Don't phone the number because it could be an extreamly expensive toll call just put it in the garbage and forget about it.
Remember you can't cheat an honest man, and you can't get something for nothing.

Likely a scam but you could simply call Jet Blue. Probably not the number on the card but one from the corporate website.

Well..... its worth calling if i win any thing like that i look at the small print and see what it says if it dosent say any thing than ask your mom if she signed up for any thing like that with air planes or enterd a contest and if not call and say "Ok ok this is great but one question whats the catch?"and they might say like u have to pay so and so or mabey its just to promote a new air line or research the air line(Jet Blue Airways) on line well if u both r arfaid of flying.......give them to me i gotta get my BFF over here for X-mas:)LOL!

I would suggest you personally visit a travel agent and check out. Better still...at the nearest Jet Blue office, if there's one near your place. Just call the airline and they'll let you know.

the best way to check is the internet! type in a few words and see if anyone else on the web has gotten one. also see if there is a website for this airline and if it does, see if there are any such promotions on the site.

Well, I think that you should just call and see what happens. If they ask for a credit card or checking account number, then hang up! :D

As long as money doesn't come out of your pocket, an attempted scam can't hurt you.
