Many older laxatives(Ex- Lax)did indeed contain questionable ingredients. These ingredients have since been banned.

As far as I know there is no cancer in a laxitive pill. But that other s**t you put into your system may cause cancer. Eat more balanced meals and plenty of fruit and drink at least 6- 8oz. glasses of water a day

No one can tell you what causes cancer. Taking laxitive pills on a regular basis isn't good for your intestional trac, maybe you should seek some medical help and they can prescribe something safer for you or even get to the bottom of why you need alatitives.

I haven't heard of laxatives causing cancer, they certainly aren't something that puts you in a high risk category, but nor have I heard of research rulling out the possibility.

There is good research that tell us that poor diet puts us at higher risk of developing cancer.

Eat a good, well balanced diet, you won't need the laxatives and you will lower your risk factors for cancer.
