I'm just learning electronics

Usually 22 or 24. Get a wire wrap gun (hand held is cheapest) , a no-nik stripper, three or four colors of wire, and an unwrapper (in case you make a mistake),

What?!!! 4 gauge? Are you wiring a breaker panel? I always used 14 or 16 gauge in my labs.

22 gauge wire, from an electronics supplier that I would recommend:

try 4 gauge
