If you have a fever, persistant sore throat and feel run down its a good possibility its strep. Sometimes you can get white bumps on your tonsills also. If you do have strep throat you will need to go to a doc to get antibiotics. You can go to an urgent care if you dont have medical and not much money. Good luck. hope you feel better.

It is pretty hard to know if you have strep or not without going to the doctor, but sometimes you can tell if you have infection in your throat by shining a flashlight done your throat and looking in a mirror to see if you have white spots in your throat.

Do a throat swab and culture it on agar-then do a Gram stain and if you see G+ cocci on the slide in the microscope it's strep.
Now-how are you planning on getting the antibiotics to cure it? It won't go away on it's own, you know.
