1 Job 8:13-19 NLT
"The hope of the godless comes to nothing. Everything they count on will collapse. They are leaning on a spiderweb. They cling to their home for security, but it won't last. They try to hold it fast, but it will not endure. The godless seem so strong, like a lush plant growing in the sunshine, it's branches spreading across the garden. Its roots grow down thorugh a pile of rocks to hold it firm. But when it is uprootd, it isn't even missed! That is the end of its life, and others spring up from the earth to replace it."
When going through Job, this really just stuck out to me and I think it is really deep and meaningful, especially to the non-believer. What do you think?
God Bless :)

I really appreciate answers from believers.. I just wanted to see what you thought about the scripture !
I don't know why athesists need to bash me for asking a question.

If you haven't been Translated (Born-Again) into the Kingdom of HIS Dear Son (Kingdom of GOD), then all you have to Hope For is in the Physical Realm and the Mental Realm.
And you Usually use the Physical Realm (money, houses so on) to give you Comfort in the Mental Realm.

That is what Religions that don't have Any Thing to do with Jesus Christ, Risen from the Dead have to Offer People.
Comfort in the Mental Realm

I just thought I would put the rest of the chapter below,,,,so those who don't know, will see where President Bush got the words "evil doers".......Bless him, got to love a man who has read Job!. He must feel like Job sometimes too, the way the media and the far left treat him.....

I think you are right, It is indeed, profound. Funny, how you can read things and not really see them until someone else points it out....what a chilling statement..."the hope of the Godless comes to nothing"......."it isn't even missed".....

8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect [man], neither will he help the evil doers:

8:21 Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.

8:22 They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.

I've recently read Job and somehow I missed that.

The hope of the godless does indeed come to nothing.

Thanks for posting this. God bless you as well!

I like being godless because it removes any restraint from being a human. I like being human, and not a follower of verses found in a 2000 year old book that was edited by random people.

There are going to be many millions of 'godless' people who will never see what is right in front of their eyes. They will put off today, what may never come to pass tomorrow; belief in the saving grace of Jesus the Christ.

1st Job?! get it right...

These are the words of Bildad the Shuhite who was a so called friend of Job. G-d was not pleased with they way he and Job's other friends carried on in this matter. See Job 42:7-9. Methinks the almighty would have the same view of you using these words as he had of Job's "friends".

Unbelievers are not evil per se. There are many, many good people who are unbelievers. Evil doers are another thing and yes this verse is profound. But we shouldn't apply the Bible to other people's lives, but to our own.

Sending you a smile to help pick up your day.

It makes no sense...
in the REAL world.

To translate : There may be really cool big trees in the world but they have really little roots (this is often true) but when they are gone they will not be missed (not true). Then there are plants with really deep roots but who are not so immediately obvious (weeds would be the obvious example) but would be missed if they are taken away (not true).

You are being insulting and to make matters worse, you are resorting to misleading falsehoods to perpetrate your insults.

Those of a different Faith are not swayed by the power of a book.
This passage means that some christian or jew is slamming on Gnetiles or Pagans.

Weather you like your not Pagans have strong faith and its built quite well.
