There are many differnet ones u can use .
You can use pepper , salt , or onion salt , a little bit of oregano for a different taste , but good .
You can put parsley flakes in it also . Or any spice condiment also it is just a matter of flavor and taste .

fried potatoes/hash browns are usually for breakfast, so I like gravy on those.
French fries is mayonnaise
Baked is butter and sour cream
Mashed would also be gravy.

pepper plant sauce
the BEST sauce in the world. it's from just north of where i grew up. all the restaurants in the surrounding areas have it on the tables. it's super flavorful, yet not too spicy. it's great on everything, especially eggs and potatoes. i recommend it to anyone that has never tried it.

I didn't think anyone else would say Pepper Plant sauce. It's a local bay area thing and it's a favorite of mine. That and a little bit of salt and pepper. Yummy!
