This is I dream I presume? Malfunctioning mechanics is a very common thing in dreams. But, all it signifies is that your dreaming.

More details please? Do these things happen too frequently for them to be the result of natural failure? If so, let me know. I have the same problem. I can't wear watches (haven't been able to since childhood) because they immediately (within 24 hours) "die"...never to work again. When I'm very emotionally upset, or under a great deal of psychological stress, electrical appliances (and anything with batteries) mal-function when I come into contact with them. I've also had several close calls with lightning. I'm not sure why this is so. I've even posted a question about this myself (on Yahoo Answers), trying to see if other people experience the same thing. I've heard several theories. One that seemed most interesting had to do with psychic energy (being electro-magnetic in nature) affecting the polarity of other electrical things...interesting stuff!

I don't think this has anything to do with your car. The key to analyzing dreams is to relate everything back to your body and soul. The symbols seen in dreams mean something different to everybody. You have to think about what these things mean to you. When you think of your car, what is the very first thing you think of? If it were me, I would think "transport". You could relate this back to your body; your body is the mode of transport for your soul. So, the battery of the car dying might represent that you are living life too hard and need to take it easy because your lifestyle is having an effect on your health and you're running out of time (hence the watch).
I often find that dreams tell you about the state of your self, either in terms of your physical or mental health. That is why when people are going through something traumatic or stressful they will often have nightmares.

Cars usually signify travel. Watches signify time.
If you are planning to go somewhere make sure you have your vehicle checked out before you go.
You might not make your destination on time so be sure everything before your trip or before you leave everything is in place.
On a spiritual level this could signify stagnation of your souls journey. Ask yourself how you are doing on your spiritual level? Maybe your spirit is telling you to take time out for yourself and to find growth within your spirit in a positive manner.
