This question might seem odd but it does seem the world is heading this way , hence the question .

If there was a war between Christianity and Islam , which side would you be on ? Which side would Judaism be on ? What about Buddhists ? And finally - Who would win ?

Well we are in one right now, sort of. The US is secular and claims the war is on terror, which is like saying we are having a war on tanks, or war on battleships, etc. We should just call it what it is a war on Muslim Fundamentalist Groups. The terrorist are defiantly having a religious war already, that is what about to them.

I doubt it would come to this but since we are secular I am sure the Buddhist would be on our side. The Muslim extremist are against anyone out side of their faith, that would include the Buddhist and Jews.

Not sure about the Buddhists, but Judaism would be with Christianity because there was two sons of Abraham, Issac and Ishmael. Christianity is a spin off, (if you will) of Judaism, and are hence both of Issac. The winner would depend on the type of war. A techno type war Christianity would win, but an all out physical man power war, I would say Islam because of their numbers.

I'm not religious, so I'd line up along national lines - I'm guessing America would side with the Christians or stay nuetral.

Israel would presumably choose the lesser evil and side with Christianity - which only has a long and fading history of oppressing them, vs Islam, which currently wants to anihilate them.

Buddhist aren't so into the whole killing thing and would probably try to stay out of it.

If the war were primarily conventional, and were long and drawn out, I'd predict that Islam would eventually prevail. Fanaticism is pretty good at keeping people fighting, and the Islamists definitely have the edge there. If it went nuclear, Christianity would presumably 'win,' unless there was a surprising defection of a major nulcear power to the side of Islam - in which case, nobody wins.

Well that is the million dollar question isn't it.
That one has been debated since the beginning of civilization as we know it and what the war will be about. You have to wonder where the gentiles will stand when it all comes down. Christians don't agree with Islam but take a closer look at what has happened to our Christian faith. America the so called Great Satan has become the epitome of the seven deadly sins. Islam has stayed close to their faith so has Judaism. The others have veered off course. I fear what will happen if we attack Iran. We are so close to the Valley of Meggido and the army from the north in the bible surely represents Russia. The outcome won't be known until then.
I believe the winner will be the ones that fight for and in the name of God. There's your real answer and the one a lot of people need to start thinking about.

Christians would win. Islamic countries are far more unconventional, but they dont have the technology. The Jews and probably every other religion would side with us. I say this because, who would you rather take you as a prisoner? A Muslim from the Middle East or a Christian? The answer is probably a Christian, they arent as bad to you. Hopefully this war doesnt happen.

If there is a missunderstanding between the christians and muslims then they will resolve it by their own means either by talks or war....whatever it is..... y do the other religions have to join the war......
Anyway... if there is a war on religious grounds then i must say those people do not follow their religion at all.....what is the use of practising a religion unless u r aware of the true purpose of a religion.....every religion preaches brotherhood and love.
And as for the question of winning ...i would say no one will win in the real sense.A religious war itself is a loss or u can say a defeat to mankind.

Let me ask you this and understand that I don't support either of these wacky mythologies. When was the last time a Christian rioted in the streets, destroyed stuff and threatened lives when someone made fun of Jesus? I'm gonna go with not during my lifetime probably never. On the opposite side of that coin a Danish cartoonist draws a fairly benign cartoon of Muhamoud and Muslims all over the world start destroying stuff. But remember theirs is the "Religion of Peace".

So just like I chose my wife, I dated a lot of very beautiful women in my life I married the one who was the least insane so I'm gonna side with the least insane of the crazy ideologies.

there will be a religious war.
we are already in it... but the catalyst for it to explode & kill 2 billion people hasn't happened yet... but it will soon.
will the catalyst be the US attack on Iran???
they are planning 12000 air strikes to take out their Iranian military .... Pres. Amadinajad announced this week they now have 3000 centrifuges in which to make a nuke.
we know from scripture that Iran will participate in the battle of armageddon so they may sustain damage, but will not be completely destroyed.

the real "religious war" will be at the battle of armageddon when the LORD pours out His wrath (vials) on the participants of that war. suddenly, the believers have the advantage & we win!!

The enemy knows its a holy war, they have called it that.

It will happen, and it will be bloody, the bible predicts this, and the christians will win.

I know what side I will be on, thats the side with Christ, I pity the fools that are on any other side.
