One of the best ministries for those who battle with addictions.
Any kind of addiction, not just drugs and booze.
It's the mind set that needs to be set free!

Great ministry look into it, and if you are an overcomer already it's great to sit and just soak it in, God will use you to help someone else<><

Our Overcomers Groups meet regularly to share the comfort and hope found in Jesus Christ. Ongoing groups provide support and accountability. The fellowship and a safe place to share feelings draw people like a magnet. O.I.C. aptly describes what occurs.

As participants discover the practical simplicity of Christ-centered living, they often say, "Oh, I see!" (O.I.C.). These groups provide a superb opportunity for winning people to Christ and discipling them. God uses these recovered lives to revitalize and strengthen His church as they reach out to others.

90% of the people in jail are there due to a drug or alcohol related crime. Many of these people try to get help for their addictions but find that the only help that can be found is the inside of a jail cell.
I am a jail minister.I have dealt with many young people who try to get help for their problems, but guess what? There isn't room (a bed available), nor the funds available to help them. For many the only alternative avialable is a cold jail cell.
Here is a ministry that is wide open for who ever would feel the call. The mission field in this area is vast, and very rewarding. Here you can help change a husband, wife, mother, father, and save an intire family. Generations can be saved, all because you told them about Jesus.
Recently a husband and wife came to our home.It was late and they were affraid that the police were suspecting them of illegal paraphanilaThey had about a dozen glass tubes at their home that are used to smoke crack with. They call these glass tubes roses. My wife and I talked with them, prayed with them.We shared how wonderful it would be if they were to get rid of the roses, and start telling people about the Rose of Sharon, Song of Solomon 2:1.We cried with them, and laughed till early in the morning.I don't know how its all going to turn out, but good seed was sown that night, and Gods word will not return void.Someone else was more accountable, more aware that God does care for them.We were so blessed by the thought that our Lord had trusted us with their care, for they are His children even if they are having some problems. We continue to pray for them and asked that you all pray as well, their names are Clifford and Lisa.

I have overcome, and overcome things everyday, with the help of Jesus. It isn't just for addictions, but normal everyday living. I had a couple of small things that raised my anger today, but Jesus put it into perspective. (No I am not an angry person). Again the point is Jesus is there for us all of the time in huge things, as well as the minute. All we need to do is talk to Him, and then listen.

I think we all have a 'calling' to minister to those who are struggling with addictions and self-hate.

We are all being used to 'shepard people to Christ Jesus'.

Like MANY... of the So Called CHRISTIAN... Movements.... there are So Many COUNTERFEITS....!

NO.... OVER COMES.....!

The Real Christian PRINCIPLE... can be found in these Verses!

(1Corinthians 15:31) I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

AND...

(John 12:24-25-26) Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

(Joh 12:25) He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

(Joh 12:26) If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

AND.....

(John 15:1-TO-14) I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.

(Joh 15:2) Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

(Joh 15:3) Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

(Joh 15:4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

(Joh 15:5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

(Joh 15:6) If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

(Joh 15:7) If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

(Joh 15:8) Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

(Joh 15:9) As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.

(Joh 15:10) If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

(Joh 15:11) These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

(Joh 15:12) This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

(Joh 15:13) Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

(Joh 15:14) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

NEED..... I... go on ?

Fruit.... is BORNE..... by Dying.... Not by Overcoming!

The OVERCOMERS ... are tied to THE WORKS OF THE FLESH.... to be Self Righteous !

(Galatians 3:1-2-3) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

(Gal 3:2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

(Gal 3:3) Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

AND.... Most of All....

(2Corinthians 4:5-6-7) For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

(2Co 4:6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

(2Co 4:7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Thanks, In Christ Jesus..... Roger R.
